H&S Group BV, a leader in the transportation of liquid foodstuffs, has placed an order for 20 new DAF XG 480 FT trucks. H&S, part of Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, selected DAF Trucks NV after an extensive evaluation process. The new DAF vehicles will be delivered by dealer Bakker Bedrijfswagens in early 2025. H&S, acquired by Den Hartogh last March, chose DAF based on trust in the brand and the service provided by Bakker Bedrijfswagens. The DAF XG stands out with its modern and spacious cab, offering unparalleled comfort for long-distance journeys. The low curb weight of the truck is another advantage, particularly important in the distribution of liquid foodstuffs, a specialty of H&S. Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, specialised in global transportation for the chemical, gas, and food industries, expands its portfolio by acquiring H&S Group, a leader in the transportation of liquid foodstuffs in Europa. Ubbo Hempenius, owner of H&S Group, and Pieter den Hartogh, Group Managing Director of Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, signed an agreement on 15 March 2024 whereby Den Hartogh acquired all shares in H&S Group. H&S will become the fifth business unit of Den Hartogh, alongside the business units Liquid, Gas, Global and Dry Bulk. The acquisition encompasses all business units and joint ventures of H&S Group, with the exception of the Cleaning & Filling business unit in Barneveld (NL). By expanding its range of services, Den Hartogh is strengthening its global market position as a leading logistics service provider. The transaction is subject to regulatory clearance. Traditiegetrouw komt Sinterklaas altijd in de blauwe H&S-truck aan, om samen met de kinderen van collega’s zijn verjaardag te vieren. Het was een heerlijke ochtend met blije mensen, pietengym, cadeautjes en zelfs een polonaise! En we weten niet hoe hij het voor elkaar krijgt, maar de Sint is precies op de hoogte van alles wat er bij H&S speelt!

Project low impact reinigen | Minder gasverbruik door duurzame energievoorziening Bij de H&S Group BV beperken we het energieverbruik bij de tankreiniging voor de food en feed industrie: door het optimaliseren van de huidige processen kan er veel CO2 worden gereduceerd. We willen meer gebruik maken van duurzame opwekking met als doel het gebruik van fossiele brandstoffen zoveel mogelijk beperken. Een van onze oplossingen is de HX EMS warmtewisselaar, waarmee we warmte hergebruiken uit afvalwater om proceswater te verwarmen. Dit vermindert het gebruik van fossiele brandstoffen aanzienlijk. Resultaat Dankzij onze inspanningen verminderen we jaarlijks ongeveer 185 ton CO2-uitstoot. Meer zien? We zijn supertrots op onze 20 nieuwe trucks! Ze zijn net zo H&S-blauw als altijd, maar ze hebben nu "de hotelsuite onder de MAN cabines", namelijk de GX-cabine met maximaal comfort. In combinatie met de 470hp motor en de nieuwste veiligheidsrijhulpsystemen kunnen onze chauffeurs weer vele comfortabele en veilige kilometers gaan afleggen.
