Gisteren was het dan eindelijk zo ver. Team i-spark ✨ begaf zich naar Groningen om voor het eerst de 4 Mijl van Groningen te gaan lopen. Ons team bestond uit 3 mannen en 3 vrouwen, waaronder uiteraard een afvaardiging van werknemers van i-spark. Het team werd aangevuld door onze goede relaties, Kaj van der Plas en Egbert van der Wal, die graag voor onze mooie organisatie wilden komen (op)draven ;-). Het weer was wat wisselvallig, waardoor helaas ons spiksplinternieuwe spandoek, net als die van vele andere bedrijven, geen plekje kreeg aan/nabij de Herestraat. Dat mocht voor ons de pret echter niet drukken. We hadden een paar hele fijne supporters die ons, zowel nabij de start, als vlakbij de finish, flink aanmoedigden. Laurens Kuiper finishte als eerste , op de voet gevolgd door Egbert. Daarna volgde onze jongste collega Tessa Pino met een prachtige tijd. Toen even later ook Kaj, Esther Grovenstein en Tienke van Dijk over de eindlijn waren gekomen, konden we met elkaar en met een paar van onze supporters, proosten op een fijne en geslaagde “run”, in Doppio. We zijn tevreden over onze gezamenlijke prestatie en blij met het saamhorigheidsgevoel binnen ons team, dat we hiermee nóg weer een beetje versterkt hebben. What happens when you guide someone without any feedback? Can clear communication alone ensure accurate results? 🤔 In our recent internal workshop on project communication, facilitated by Kaj van der Plas, we explored these questions by challenging team members to direct their partners in arranging colored pencils ✏ on a sheet of paper — without any back-and-forth questions allowed. Though the results were quite reasonable, most people felt a sense of anxiousness, not being able to verify if the instructions were clear. Naturally, we tried to ‘game’ the system, arranging the pencils in straightforward patterns to simplify the explanation.
