🍁Last weekend, we hosted our 4th Fall School and had the joy of welcoming our new 2100 members in person! It was a powerful opportunity to reconnect with long-standing members and dive deeply into discussions that are shaping our collective vision for an impact-driven future. The Transforming Role of CFOs in the Net-Zero Transition   “A transition to a net zero-carbon economy is urgently needed – and CFOs and their finance teams have a vital role to play.” As the latest Finance Leaders Sustainability Barometer 2024 from Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) reveals, while 88% of finance professionals see the importance of integrating environmental and social risks, only 9% feel their organisations are fully prepared to respond.   To bridge this gap, CFOs must lead by equipping their teams with the right tools and insights. 🌍 From Reporting to Steering: Following Alliander’s Journey in Impact Management🚀 During our webinar on Impact Accounting and Impact Management, Walter Bien, CFO & Member of the Executive Board at Alliander, shared key insights on the company’s pioneering journey in impact accounting, which began in 2017. Alliander was one of the first companies in the Netherlands to adopt this practice, and the journey can be divided into three phases:  1. Developing the six capitals methodology.  2. Stabilizing it for both external communication and internal discussions.  3. Transitioning from reporting to steering, where the company is today.
