🏛️ 🎇 Our Oxford Street property has had quite the transformation! Since Ingka Investments acquired the property in 2021, the building has undergone extensive renovations including: 🌟 Replacing traditional fossil fuel gas-fired boilers with energy-efficient air source heat pumps 🌟 Installing secondary glazing for improved insulation 🌟 Carrying out meticulous cleaning and restoration of the building’s historic façade 🌟 Sympathetic lighting scheme to illuminate the building at night IKEA is set to open its doors 1 May 2025. We’re proud to play a role in delivering Ingka Group’s Net Zero Transition Plan. This plan, launched today, provides a roadmap for how we will decarbonise all aspects of the Ingka Group value chain. In Ingka Investments, up to 2030 we will be focused on: 🌎 Increasing the overall proportion of investments allocated to asset classes which have a lower carbon footprint. 🤝 Aligning our investment strategies to the Paris Agreement and our carbon reduction targets, starting with our Financial Market Investments portfolio. 📉 Improving emissions data so we can identify reduction opportunities and monitor emissions intensity. 🏦 Supporting investee companies to measure and report their emissions and embark on emissions reductions. We’re proud to announce that our Halla #offshore wind project in #Finland has completed its environmental impact assessment (EIA) report. Halla, located in the Gulf of Bothnia, is the first offshore wind project in Finland’s exclusive economic zone to complete an EIA report. It is also one of the most extensive environmental impact assessments in Finland to date. The assessment examines the impacts of offshore wind power on marine #environment and the mainland, as well as how to combine #shipping and #windpower. Technical studies such as wind measurements, ice conditions, and soundings of the seabed have also been carried out. Halla is being developed by OX2 in partnership with Ingka Investments, the investment arm of Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer.
