I am delighted to announce that Mila Lopez Simon will be speaking at the European Infrastructure Conference 2024. Mila Lopez Simon is the Managing Director of the UK and Ireland business unit at Invesis, a global investor and developer of sustainable infrastructure. Mila oversees a dedicated team of over 40 professionals, providing them with leadership and strategic direction. Her responsibilities extend to securing new social and transport Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, fostering collaboration to explore emerging sector opportunities like energy transition and digital infrastructure, and ensuring the continued excellence of project delivery within Invesis’ existing portfolio. Mila has over two decades of international experience in infrastructure development, financing, and management of large public infrastructure. Exciting News from the A9 Via Gateway Thüringen Project!✨ As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation, our A9 Via Gateway Thüringen project – a joint venture between Invesis and VINCI Concessions – has introduced a cutting-edge LED lighting system across all rest areas. The intelligent LED system uses smart sensor technology to optimise lighting based on traffic flow and environmental conditions. This means a 40% reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions 🚗 ♻️ . We’ve also introduced amber lighting, which has less impact on local ecosystems, protecting plants and animals while keeping our roads safe and well-lit. The next train arriving is the Roma Street train, stopping only at this station! 🚆🙌 The CBGU JV Cross River Rail team celebrated a significant achievement on the weekend, welcoming the first train into the project’s new underground tunnel at Roma Street. This event is the culmination of considerable collaboration and work to date across all aspects of the project and there have been many highlights since the team first mobilised. From breaking ground, excavation, tunnelling, structural works, rail fit out; through to electrical works, commissioning and completions – these and many more moments have been critical to enabling the team to successfully reach this historic milestone.
