Since their discovery a century ago, nematodes have become increasingly important in modern agriculture as an effective biological solution for controlling a wide range of pests. For Koppert, academic research plays a key role in expanding the use of this sustainable alternative, helping more growers adopt it. It is crucial to consider both scientific insights and the practical experiences of growers, while also understanding how different environmental conditions impact nematode performance. This is why the Instituto de Ciencias de la Vid y del Vino has partnered with Koppert on research projects, aiming to maximize the potential of beneficial nematodes in sustainable agriculture. Bumblebees depend on sufficient daylight for efficient navigation, and during the critical period (4 to 10 weeks before or after the shortest day), reduced light can cause orientation challenges and affect colony health. 📢 Remco Huvermann shares his expert advice on optimizing hive placement during this period to support your bumblebees and enhance pollination efficiency.
