JTEKT Bearings (formerly known as Koyo Bearings) is gradually expanding its business activities from OEM markets to the MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) market via distributors. Recently a move closer to the "final user" was made with the introduction of the ONI wheel bearing for the (semi)professional bicycle race market. The ONI bearing that features extremely low friction combined with superior durability, was tested during the Amsterdam triathlon race in September 2023. JTEKT is joining Cti Berlin symposium (Dec 5-6, 2023) “Keeping pace during the transformation towards electric mobility” JTEKT is developing several technologies that strongly contribute to the future of zero-emission mobility, including advanced steering systems (steer-by-wire, a. o.), compact and low weight drive train systems (ultra compact differentials, a.o.) and rolling bearings (ultra compact bearings, a. o.).
