Together with other partners, we’re putting sustainability in the healthcare sector on the map. From winning the Green Entrepreneurs pitch (top left) to conducting in-depth research into the impact of our products (right) – we are working hard every day on more sustainable solutions for Maternal and Newborn health. Special prize for those who dare to ask.. Unfortunately, we did not win the Philips Innovation Award. Though, LAYCO, did receive a special mention from Philips CEO Roy Jakobs! A great encouragement on our journey to bring vela®, the reusable vacuum pump to market around the world. Saving lives, and the planet! 🌍 "As a medical company it is of course wonderful to be able to learn from Philips,” Thom Weustink our co-founder said. “In the run-up to this final we had very valuable discussions. Philips is really willing to think along. That's why I asked Mr. Jakobs at the end of my pitch if he would like to continue his support with us." As part of the Health Innovation Exchange - HIEx, we connected with inspiring innovators, mission-driven investors, and dedicated healthcare policymakers and organisations, all united by a passion for improving access to sustainable healthcare.
