Leidsche Plein 2025 It was once again inspiring to come together for our annual partner event in the beautiful Leidse Schouwburg - Stadsgehoorzaal! The energy and enthusiasm was palpable from the moment Martijn Bulthuis, director of Leiden&Partners, opened the event. The program was filled with fascinating workshops. Lien De Keukelaere and Joost van der Wal took us into the world of Culture & Events and its importance for the city. Homeyra Abrishamkar and Lisette Jongejans shared valuable insights on attracting and retaining talent. Nico Mulder presented a fascinating story about the opportunities for regional cooperation. Ingrid Rip CED showed how we can put Leiden more firmly on the map as a conference destination. The John Meulemans keynote on AI and influencer marketing was a highlight within marketing. Jan Paesen and Han Vloeberghs of Leuven MindGate also shared their experiences and lessons. The Leidsche Plein 2025 was another excellent opportunity to network, share knowledge and strengthen ties with our partners. We look back on a successful day and many thanks for everyone's presence! Who is the woman of the future? Sparked by this question, we organised a workshop on International Women’s Day. For us, the woman of the future is financially independent. Unfortunately, topics like investments, stocks, or taxes, are often not discussed by women, and as internationals it can be even harder to access information on the matter. With Agnes Glastra from Your Financials we talked about why it is important for women to achieve financial independence, and what steps can be taken to do so. One message emerged amongst all: you are never too late to take financial matters into your own hands! What can you do to start? 1️⃣ Look at your expenses: what should stay and where you should cut? 2️⃣ Set you short, mid and long term goals 3️⃣ Contact an expert to explore your options The event was a success, thanks to the inspiring words of Agnes – we truly felt empowered. We ended the afternoon with some drinks and bites, and every participant received a yellow mimosa branch, a symbol of female solidarity in Italy.
