Leading cement, steel, and chemical firms are integrating mineralization into sustainability strategies. With the arrival of Northern Pioneer, the world’s first commercial liquefied CO₂ transport ship, the Northern Lights JV project has reached a major turning point. This 130-meter vessel, built to carry up to 8,000 tonnes of liquid CO₂, is now ready for operations. Its next stop: Øygarden, where it will be commissioned and integrated into the full value chain of CO₂ transport and storage.     We are excited to welcome Peter A.A. Klusener to the Advisory Board of LogiCarbon Solutions B.V.! Peter brings an extraordinary wealth of expertise as a Senior Process Development Chemist at Shell, where he has contributed extensively to battery R&D, including flow and sodium batteries, organic chemistry, and catalysis. His impressive background comprises a large number of different R&D projects, supporting scale-up companies via the GameChanger program of Shell, and an exceptional record of innovation as co-inventor of 44 patents and co-author of 38 scientific articles. Peter also recently received an honorary professorship at Queen's University Belfast. We first connected with Peter during the TU Delft Impact Contest organized by Soapbox, and it’s an absolute pleasure to now make this official. Notably, Peter served as the technical lead in the GameChanger project with RFC Power, demonstrating his deep commitment to advancing cutting-edge solutions. At LogiCarbon Solutions B.V., our focus is to empower small to medium-sized emitters to plan and execute cost-effective Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) projects. Accelerate. 🌍 Yesterday, Anna Klein and I had the incredible opportunity to represent LogiCarbon Solutions B.V. as a university team from Delft University of Technology at the Leapsprong event held at the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA) – Shell. This fantastic event, jointly organized by the Municipality of Amsterdam, ETCA, and Rockstart, brought together changemakers driving solutions for a climate-neutral and circular future. We pitched LogiCarbon Solutions B.V.’s solution at the Demo day: developing a comprehensive database of industrial CO₂ emitters and connecting them with potential offtake options through a CO₂ marketplace. Sharing our progress with the MVP to an esteemed panel of judges was both exciting and insightful, as it allowed us to receive valuable feedback, explore pilot opportunities, and refine our approach. This event was more than a pitch – it was a vibrant space to exchange expertise, build connections with partners, companies, and innovative Europe-based startups/scaleups, and explore opportunities to deploy impactful solutions across the Port of Amsterdam and the greater Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
