This week, Lovink attended Eltefa Stuttgart, a leading energy trade fair in southern Germany. A well-attended event where utilities and industrial players come together to explore the latest developments. Our team, consisting of Stefan Pap, Eduard Arentz, and Alex Albarici, engaged with numerous technical professionals from utilities, including many Stadtwerke from the region. Interest in our solutions was high, particularly in our LoviSil® branch joints and oil refill joint. Many visitors were already familiar with our LoviSil® technology but appreciated the opportunity to see our product range up close. A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand! 

We’re thrilled to announce that next week Lovink will be participating in DISTRIBUTECH 2025, the leading transmission and distribution event in the U.S.! Last week, Lovink participated in Elektrotechnik in Dortmund, the leading trade fair for the electrical engineering industry. It was a great opportunity to showcase our LoviSil® cable joints and connect with key industry stakeholders. With the challenges of the energy transition come opportunities for innovative and reliable solutions. Our LoviSil® cable joints, known for their liquid insulation and durability, play a crucial role in strengthening the energy infrastructure of German network operators. We had a successful week filled with valuable discussions and strong interest in our solutions. Thank you to all visitors – we look forward to future collaborations!

Before we say goodbye to 2024, we’re proud to highlight a remarkable replacement in Southern Germany. A local grid operator successfully replaced a defective, 100-year-old bitumen joint with the LoviSil® joint, the ultimate all-rounder among cable joints. Thanks to its flexible application nearly all cable types can be seamlessly connected. The liquid silicone technology prevents the drying out of existing paper-insulated cables, ensuring long-term reliability. Wat een fijne traditie: onze jaarlijkse kerstborrel bij Lovink! Zoals altijd genoten we van heerlijke boerenkool (uitgeserveerd door de directie) en deden we allemaal mee aan de jaarlijkse Lovink pubquiz. We hebben geproost op een fantastisch jaar. Op naar 2025 – we kijken ernaar uit om er samen weer een mooi jaar van te maken!

Last Saturday, SAB Opleiding conducted a LoviSil® Branch joint training session for three experienced jointers from Unsal Infratechniek. The reason for the training was a rail project requiring a temporary bypass connection to be realized on short notice. Lovink's reliable cable joints, including the LoviSil® branch joint or loop joint, offer an intelligent solution that minimizes the need for capacity and time, which is especially crucial in today’s infrastructure sector. The sector faces a significant challenge: the demand for timely execution of medium-voltage projects is growing, while there is a shortage of qualified professionals. Training centers like SAB Opleiding play a vital role in educating technicians and increasing their enthusiasm for the energy sector. On Saturday, Sjoerd Keijzer from SAB Opleiding gladly made time to provide an installation training for three jointers from Unsal Infratechniek. In just one day, all installation aspects of the LoviSil® branch joint were covered and practiced. Thanks to this intensive session, the jointers can now proceed with confidence, contributing to the swift and expert execution of their project.
