🌳 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗨 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗨𝗗𝗥)! 🌍 The European Commission has proposed a 12-month extension to the phasing-in period for the EUDR, providing more time for companies and stakeholders to prepare for the new requirements. If approved, the Regulation will apply from 30 December 2025 for large companies and 30 June 2026 for micro- and small enterprises. In the meantime, new guidance and support tools have been launched, including updates to the IT system for due diligence. One key component? The introduction of CERTEX—a cutting-edge system that will automate the connection between customs and non-customs systems across the EU. Starting in March 2025, CERTEX will revolutionize how we manage non-customs formalities, making the clearance of goods faster and more reliable. This is a significant step forward for businesses trading within the EU, ensuring a smoother process while maintaining high standards of security and compliance. The European Commission has launched infringement procedures against several Member States for failing to fully transpose EU climate and defence directives into national law. 26 countries, including Germany, France, and the Netherlands, have not met the June 2024 deadlines for the revised EU Emissions Trading System and defence-related products directives. These nations now have two months to respond and address the shortcomings. As of 1 July 2024, new regulations require the inclusion of specific document codes in your import declarations for pharmaceutical products and active substances. This also applies to veterinary pharmaceuticals under Regulation (EU) 2019/6. Vanaf september 2024 zullen bedrijven die douaneaangiftes doen, maandelijks een specificatie ontvangen bij de Mededeling Afloop Betalingstermijn (MAB). Dit besluit volgt op de beëindiging van het Overzicht gedane aangifte (OGA), waardoor bedrijven minder goed in staat waren om de administratie van de Douane te controleren tegen hun eigen administratie. Deze nieuwe specificatie helpt u om beter uw douaneadministratie te controleren. Tevens heeft er een technisch probleem plaatsgevonden in het DMS-systeem waardoor een aantal aangiften dubbel belast zijn. Dit probleem betrof aangiften die voor 20 april voorlopig waren en tussen 20 april en 21 mei definitief werden.
