With an impressive track record of over 25 years of M&A and private equity experience in the US and Europe, including in the CEE region, Dino Bendekovic will helm the new office. After 9 years as the Head of M&A at multinational Grant Thornton, Dino now joins the Marktlink Group. This is our 18th office in Europe and the very first in Central and Eastern Europe. Anna Maria Jedrzejczak will be leading this exciting venture as a Managing Partner. She is a highly respected M&A expert with over 13 years of experience. She is co-founder and vice president of WOM&AN, Association for Women in M&A –, with the goal of creating a space for networking, knowledge exchange, promoting the idea of entrepreneurship, and mentoring women involved in mergers and acquisitions. Despite the bad weather forecast, the sun made a surprise appearance, allowing us to enjoy an exhilarating mountain biking adventure and even catch some rays during breaks. Only a third have a clear picture of how much a sale should yield to enable a carefree exit. A successful business sale begins with good preparation. This process can take several years so it’s wise to start in good time even if there are no immediate plans to sell. The ideal moment to start preparing for a business sale varies from one entrepreneur ans business to another. Our seasoned consultants underline the importance of starting to prepare at least one to three years before the intended sale. This leaves enough time to optimise the business and take strategic decisions that can increase its sales value. The theme of our latest research is ‘Making a succesfull business exit’. We surveyed 1,066 entrepreneurs from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, and the UK on this topic, and the results are both interesting and eye-opening. Our most recent research reveals that 50% of European SME entrepreneurs have considered a potential succession in the past 12 months. However, the step towards taking actual action is often not taken. 49% admit to not having a clear exit strategy, which is an alarmingly high number. For many entrepreneurs, planning and executing an exit strategy proves to be a complex and challenging task.
