“For my whole life, war has been at my doorstep. The sound of rockets is usual now, but the trauma is real. I still need to study, work, and improve myself, but sometimes it feels pointless. Other times, I can’t do anything but watch the news, knowing the war nearby could spill over any day. If it does, I’ll be responsible for my family’s safety, food, and finding a place to live. In that moment, I will become just a number in the news. It’s a nightmare. I wish there were meditation sessions that could help me cope with this constant fear.” We receive emails like this far too often, from people affected by wars and conflicts across the globe—from the Middle East to Eastern Europe, and beyond. It’s heartbreaking to know that in 2024, we’re still facing conflict over land, religion, or beliefs. ✨ Medito is a nonprofit that provides free mindfulness resources, such as meditation, to those who need it most. Available on iOS and Android, we’ve already impacted more than 3 million people worldwide. Our mission is to support people in their most challenging circumstances, offering free, accessible tools for mental well-being. But we can’t help as much as we’d like due to limited resources. If you or anyone you know has the capacity to make a significant donation—whether it’s a wealthy individual or a company—please reach out. Your contributions would allow us to develop meditation packs for those affected by conflict and expand our content into more languages, reaching more people in need. We want to offer comfort and resilience to people like this. Together, we can make a difference. 💜 🫶 Donate now: https://lnkd.in/e2dCJGxe 💌 Connect us with potential donors: https://tally.so/r/mOJdBM

Medito 101: Is Meditation for You? 🧘♀️ ✨ First, if you're reading this, you're already interested in meditation and mindfulness. That's a great first step! You might think you don't need meditation, or perhaps you believe you can't meditate because you get easily distracted or don't have the time. But anyone can meditate, and you don't need any special abilities to do it. Like any skill, it just requires practice. Unlike other skills, you don't have to be perfect at meditating to benefit from it. Just by practicing, you're already meditating. Meditation helps cultivate awareness and gives us a better understanding of our thoughts and emotions. It's not about concentration, but about noticing and observing your mind's tendencies. Feeling distracted or anxious shouldn't deter you. Meditation helps you become aware of these states and lessens their impact over time. It's like trying a new fruit — you might not think meditation is for you, but why not give it a try and see? Meditation can be part of a spiritual practice, such as Buddhism or Hinduism, in which we can gain a sense of spiritual connection. It can also be practiced in a secular context, in which we simply practice becoming more aware of the present moment, with compassion and acceptance. Regardless of what initially brings us to the mat, meditation has been shown to improve mental wellbeing, and can have a profound impact on our lives. If everyone practiced meditation, it could surely change the world. Medito is here to support you. We've built this app to show you that meditation can help you feel more confident, relaxed, and happy. It's a small piece of a larger puzzle for personal growth and development. Download the Medito app today from the link in our bio and start your meditation journey! 🧘♂️

Take a moment to speak this week's mantra out loud. "I am present within myself. I can center myself with the ease of my breath. I feel grounded, confident, worthy, and whole." ✨ ✨ The breath is such a powerful tool to ground us in the present moment. It only takes a few conscious deep breaths to calm our nervous system and bring our attention back to the present moment. Have you taken some time to ground yourself today? Let's do it together right now. Take a few deep breaths in and out. Allow your breath to return to normal. Then repeat today's mantra again. "I am present within myself. I can center myself with the ease of my breath. I feel grounded, confident, worthy, and whole." ✨ ✨ Repeat as needed 💞 #mediation #todaysmantra #medito #howtomeditate #mindfullness

Medito 101: What is Meditation? 🧘♂️✨ Many forms of meditation help you cultivate mindfulness. Practicing one of these methods trains your mind to be more 'in touch' with reality. When we meditate, we focus on the now. The past is a memory, and the future is an expectation. We're entirely in the present, where reality is. As humans, we're constantly overthinking and talking to ourselves in our heads. These thoughts arise automatically, but meditation helps us see them as just thoughts, not our identity. Meditation isn't about stopping thoughts. It's about noticing that the noise isn't you. Starting a regular habit of meditation cultivates awareness of the present, which you'll notice in daily life. Meditation can improve clarity, concentration, and stress reduction. Scientific studies show positive effects like greater empathy, positive thinking, emotional well-being, and reduced anxiety. Meditation methods can be formal or informal, and our app helps you learn and practice them. Using Medito will help you develop a regular and effective meditation practice that suits you. Download the Medito app from the link in our bio. The Medito app is a free-forever meditation app designed to help you cultivate mindfulness and inner peace. No ads, no sign-ups, just pure meditation. Whether you're a beginner or looking to deepen your practice, Medito has something for everyone. Join us and transform your mind and life with Medito. Have you ever tried Mantra meditation? Comment your experience below! Mantra meditation involves choosing a word or a sentence that you feel aids personal growth, promotes inner peace, or simply resonates with you or helps focus your mind. Repeat the phrase over and over again silently to yourself. This week's mantra "I am courageous and move forward even in stressful times," is a reminder that progress is possible even when we feel overwhelmed. Sometimes moving forward looks like taking 10 minutes out of your day for a meditation. It is the little habits that we do every day that build us up into stronger people in the future. Medito 101: What is Mindfulness? 🧘♀️✨ There is a simple way to practice mindfulness: Most of the time, you don't think about the fact that you're breathing. Breathing is something that you do naturally, without noticing you're doing it. On the one hand, you are doing it, and on the other hand, it is happening to you. But now, since we have been talking about it, you are consciously aware of your breathing. Breathing is similar to thinking. I can feel that I am doing it and that it is happening to me at the same time. Let's Try a Simple Exercise: 🌱 1. Breathe In: - Breathe in slowly, and when your lungs are full, hold it for a few seconds. 2. Breathe Out: - Now exhale fully and then wait a few seconds before breathing in again. 3. Repeat: - Try that a few times. Feel the air coming in and out of your body. Breathing in, holding it, breathing out, holding it. 4. Close Your Eyes: - You can close your eyes if you want, it might make it easier. 5. Observe Your Breath: - Now, just let your body breathe by itself. Don't try to control your breath anymore. Just watch your body breathe. You might notice it feels a bit different. Maybe you feel the breath is slower, the duration between inhaling and exhaling is longer. Maybe the breath feels shallower. When you do that, you are conscious of your breath. You are consciously aware of it. You are mindful of it. You are fully in the present moment, and that's mindfulness. 🌼 What Mindfulness Truly Is: 🍃 It's good to know that mindfulness is not simply what we have tried to demonstrate with this little exercise. It's not a quick fix, and it's not about stopping yourself from thinking or trying to escape reality. Mindfulness is a skill that you can gradually improve with practice. It will, with time, help you understand the nature of thoughts and the mind. It will give you insight into how the mind works, and with time it can have a profound impact on the way you experience life. Mindfulness is about observing thoughts and happenings without getting caught up in them. It's about learning to live in the present moment rather than the past or future. It's about living in the "now." 🧘♂️🌞 #Medito101 #MeditoApp #Mindfulness #Meditation

Medito 101: Judgment Towards Meditation Practice 🧘♂️✨ A good thing to keep in mind when you're learning to meditate is that all meditation practice is good meditation practice. You don't need to worry about whether you're doing it correctly. You don't want to spend the whole session thinking about whether your posture is correct, whether you're breathing at the right pace, or what's causing those thoughts to be running through your mind. Steps to Practice Meditation Without Judgement: 1. Find a Comfortable Position: - Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Ensure your back is straight, and your body is relaxed. 2. Focus on Your Breath: - Close your eyes and bring your attention to your breathing. Notice the sensation of the air entering and leaving your nostrils. 3. Observe Without Judgment: - The key to meditation is to observe things as they are, and to reserve judgment. Don't worry about whether you're doing it correctly. 4. Acknowledge Thoughts and Let Them Go: - When thoughts arise, try to observe them objectively for just a brief moment, and then let them go, returning to the breath. 5. Return to Your Breath: - Each time you find your mind wandering, gently bring your focus back to your breath. This practice helps anchor your attention and calm your mind. 6. Practice Regularly: - Set aside a few minutes each day to practice meditation. Consistency is key to developing a meditation habit. Remember, meditation is the practice of observing without judgment. To judge your thoughts just leads to more thinking. Try to observe them objectively, let them go, and return to the breath. Happy meditating! 💜 #MeditoApp #Meditation #Mindfulness #CalmMind
