At Modem, we started with a simple question: How can we expand the impact of our research and spark a broader conversation about our complex relationship with technology? This idea led to the creation of Panels – a series of immersive conversations hosted by Modem, where our speakers are literally encapsulated in panels. These thought-provoking discussions, moderated by Emily Segal, dive deep into the nuanced intersections of technology and the human experience. Speaker lineup: Samir Bantal (OMA/AMO) Michael Rock (2x4) Francesca Gavin (EPOCH) Jack Self (Real Review) Mindy Seu (Cyberfeminism Index) Oana Stănescu (Oana Stănescu Studio) Watch all Panel episodes here: https://lnkd.in/emXuxivn Music: Cris Kühlen Title design: Antoine Roux Special thanks: Morgan Catalina & Aeneas Panayiotou

We partnered with AIR COMPANY to explore the potential of CO2-based yarns for future materials. Inspired by the formation of cocoons and chrysalides. The speculative project reimagines advanced carbon conversion technologies to produce a CO₂-based yarn, designed for constructing cocoon-like structures. Much like a caterpillar spins its own cocoon for transformation, the AIRMADE™ carbon conversion system fabricates a yarn-based enclosure.
