We’ve secured an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) License from De Nederlandsche Bank! 🎉 We’re the first B2B Buy Now, Pay Later company in Europe to be granted its own license, and this brings us one step closer to achieving our long-term mission of building the leading B2B payment platform for European businesses. This license will accelerate our expansion across Europe while enabling us to evolve even faster, support more customers, and launch complementary payment services like eWallets and Credit Cards. 🌍 Our Co-Ceo and Co-Founder, Philipp Povel, shared, “Mondu is the first B2B Buy Now, Pay Later company in Europe to be granted its own EMI License. This is a key moment for our company and demonstrates the maturity and sophistication of our platform and the processes and capabilities we have established over the past two and a half years.” 🚀 Miyu Lee, our Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, added, “Being granted this license by the highly respected regulator DNB is a great milestone for us. Problem: you're invited to an event but the location is a secret. How do you solve it? 🔍💪 This week we got the full team together to celebrate the incredible achievement of attaining our EMI license. This was a huge milestone for the team, and definitely a challenge. But we decided to throw the team one more challenge before the celebrations really began... Starting in our office, and equipped with clues relating to famous Berlin landmarks, we grouped our colleagues into teams and sent them off on a treasure hunt - the final destination? Our venue for the evening! The first team ran into the venue in a record time of one hour, with the 2nd and 3rd place teams hot on their heels.
