Our launch vehicle #Spectrum is on the pad. We are approaching our first test flight not earlier than Monday 24 March. The launch date remains subject to weather, safety and range infrastructure. Regardless of how far we come on this initial test flight, it will be a success for Isar Aerospace and a milestone to be proud of. The NATO STO Women & Girls in Science challenge allows researchers to share their proposals with the NATO STO, with the finalists joining a network of science and technology experts. Participants are invited to submit research ideas that they would you like to see NATO pursue over the next five years. Proposals should address one of five themes related to NATO priorities: 🔸 Deterrence: Deterrence and defence is one of NATO’s core tasks to safeguard the freedom and security of all Allies, against all threats, from all directions. Both threats and opportunities can come from the rapidly changing S&T landscape. 🔸 Energy: The disruption of energy supplies could affect security within NATO Nations and partner countries. New developments in S&T can provide long-lasting solutions. 🔸 Resilience: Resilience is the individual and collective capacity to prepare for, resist, respond to and quickly recover from shocks and disruptions, and to ensure the continuity of the Alliance’s activities. S&T can offer solutions to all aspects of resilience for the Alliance. 🔸 Space: Space underpins NATO's ability to navigate and track forces, to have robust communications, to detect missile launches, and to ensure effective command and control. S&T can provide both opportunities and address critical dependencies on space. 🔸Climate: The earth’s rapidly changing climate and extreme weather have led NATO to accelerate its efforts in environmental security and protection. S&T can offer many solutions to address climate change and security. Find more information ➡️ www.natostowgs.com #WGS25

Some of the most insightful conversations I've have had about the world of AI hardware and the future of the semiconductor industry have been with Pat Gelsinger, and I am absolutely thrilled to share his news that he is joining Fractile as an investor. Few people have had more impact on this world than Pat. All of us at Fractile are looking forward to continuing our work on building towards a generational leap in AI compute capability, with Pat in our corner! 🚀
5 years ago, the world of computing was a bit boring. Add some cores, speed up IO, increment memory performance ... then, the AI/LLM explosion and the world is anything but boring today. A thrilling time to be a technologist, the world lies before us. However, Inference of frontier AI models is bottlenecked by hardware. Even before test-time compute scaling, cost and latency were huge challenges for large scale LLM deployments. With the advent of reasoning models, which require memory-bound generation of thousands of output tokens, the limitations of existing hardware roadmaps has compounded. To achieve our aspirations for AI, we will need radically faster, cheaper and much lower power inference. I’m pleased to share that I’ve recently invested in Fractile, a UK founded AI hardware company who are pursuing a path that’s radical enough to offer such a leap. Their in-memory compute approach to inference acceleration jointly tackles the two bottlenecks to scaling inference, overcoming both the memory bottleneck that holds back today’s GPUs, while decimating power consumption, the single biggest physical constraint we face over the next decade in scaling up data center capacity. In fact, some of the ideas I was exploring in my graduate work Stanford University will now come to mainstream AI computing! In the global race to build leading AI models, the role of inference performance is still under-appreciated. Being able to run any given model orders of magnitude faster, at a fraction of the cost and maybe most importantly at dramatically lower power envelop provides a performance leap equivalent to years of lead on model development. I look forward to advising the Fractile team as they tackle this vital challenge. Cheering you on Walter Goodwin and team!
