Co-Creation Challenges: Finding the Right Approach for Different Generations Working with younger generations often brings exciting insights, but arranging co-creation sessions is not without its challenges. Offline, it takes significant effort to gather groups, and even more importantly to create a safe space where teenagers feel comfortable enough to share their insights openly. I've heard that many experts now suggest that moving these co-creation sessions online can actually be more effective. Teenagers, especially Gen Z, seem to feel more at ease sharing their thoughts in a virtual environment—it feels less intimidating, more familiar, and even safer to many of them. Research supports this: for example, a study by the Pew Research Center found that teenagers are more likely to open up online due to the perceived anonymity and reduced pressure compared to in-person settings. Another study from EUKidsOnline Online highlights that teenagers often feel more comfortable sharing their views in digital environments where they have more control over their participation, helping to create a more open dialogue. Interestingly, research from the American Psychological Association also indicates that the preferred way of collecting feedback varies across generations. Gen Z tends to prefer virtual and asynchronous communication, whereas Millennials and Gen X often value in-person engagement and direct conversations for a deeper connection. While Gen Z might be more open to sharing in online spaces, older generations, like Millennials and Gen X, might still value in-person discussions and a sense of connection that comes from being physically present. As we plan future sessions, I'm considering exploring more of these virtual approaches, especially with teens. I'm curious to hear from others: What has your experience been? Have you noticed similar trends when working with different age groups? Any goods tools that can be used for online interactions? #girlsmeetup #meidenapp #startup #earlystage #socialsports #healthtech #sporttech #one2onerun #cocreation #communicity One2One.Run BV (Neardoor.club app, Girls Meet Up app)

Pilot results 🤩 We are excited to announce that we are working on improved version of Girls Meet Up app (aka Meiden App) that will be available soon 📍
Meiden App pilot 🤩 Last week at the CommuniCity meeting, we proudly shared the results of our GirlsMeetUp app pilot! 🎬 Through co-creation sessions with coaches, communities, sport clubs, and inspiring girls from Zuid-Oost Amsterdam, we built an app prototype that uses AI to empower girls and clubs to create and share events in just seconds—whether sports or other fun activities! 🏀🎨 The pilot gave us valuable insights, and we’re excited to keep building on this momentum. We’re currently working on exciting updates to make the app even better. Watch this space! 🚀 I want to thank everyone who helped us to get insights and support running the pilot! First Week of Testing Update 🎉 Thank you for all your feedback! We've made some exciting changes based on initial feedback for Neardoor.club: ✅ Simplified Access: No need to log in to browse the platform. You’ll only need to log in when joining an event ✅ Improved Onboarding: The process is now clearer, guiding users through the steps smoothly. We still thinking what is the best way to explore intent recognition from the users using AI ✅ Enhanced Club Visibility: For clubs requiring extra steps, like badminton clubs with trial registrations, we've added specific action buttons for ease (in progress, we are several hours away from it) ✅ Event Creation: Events can now be created either by choosing a club or solo (like the basketball event you can check out now!). I’m inviting you to join some trials with me—US Badminton (trials available in October only) and basketball this Thursday (Amsterdam Overtoom area)! Stay tuned for more updates. We’ll be back soon! See you in the club! We value your feedback! ❤️ www.neardoor.club basketball https://lnkd.in/enu59d9V #neardoorclub #neardoor #neardoors #preseed #startup #seed #earlystage #sports #sport

🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 We are happy to share a demo video of Neardoor.club (https://neardoor.club/), a platform Anton Nesterov and I have been passionately working on. Our goal is to connect sports enthusiasts with local clubs and communities, making it easier than ever to explore new sports activities and meet like-minded people In the video, we showcase how our simple prototype works: 🧠 What's on your mind? Start by telling us what you'd like to do, and Neardoor.club AI will suggest an existing sports club in Amsterdam or help you create your own event (we call it a "Neardoor"). 🤖 AI-Powered Support: Our AI helps you create a compelling event description and image, so you can share it with your friends in seconds. 🏃♂️ Current Focus: We've already got some great running communities, badminton clubs, and SUP rental spots in Amsterdam in our database, along with a few routes. 🔍 We Need Your Feedback!: We’re inviting early adopters and first test users to join us on this journey. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to build and refine Neardoor.club (https://neardoor.club/ ) Check out the video, and if you’re interested in being part of this exciting new platform, drop a comment or message me directly. Let’s make sports more accessible and fun together! 🌟 #NeardoorClub #SportsTech #AI #CommunityBuilding #Startups #Amsterdam

Exciting Days for Sports Lovers! 🏅 The Olympics will start in few hours, and it's a thrilling time for all sports enthusiasts. Whether you're an athlete or just learning a new sport, watching professionals play is incredibly valuable. Research has shown that observing sports can enhance your skills and development, not just through practice but also through action observation. Studies indicate that watching sports activates the brain's motor areas, similar to when you perform the activity yourself, leading to improved performance and understanding. Here are some fun facts about the Paris 2024 Olympics: 📍 New Sports: Breaking (breakdancing) and surfing are making their Olympic debut. 📍 Surfing Venue: The surfing competition will be held in Tahiti, 15,700 km from Paris. 📍 Grand Opening: The opening ceremony will take place along the Seine River, featuring boats and floats. During my recent trip to the US, I was amazed by the huge number of running clubs. From big cities to small towns, they’re everywhere. I’m seeing the same incredible trend in Europe ( I say 'incredible' because running is the part of my routine for the last 10+ years 😉 so it's good news for me). These running clubs are becoming the new social hubs, replacing bars, clubs, and even helping some people stay away from alcohol and drugs. What struck me the most is how easy it is to join a running club – all you need is a pair of running shoes and the willingness to show up. It’s a fantastic way to meet new people with almost zero commitment. Look at this list of NYC Run Clubs https://lnkd.in/er-2hqHd lists over 100 running clubs just in the NYC area! I recently heard someone say that running groups are the new Tinder. This makes so much sense to me. Running in a group feels safer, and in this post-pandemic world, we’re all eager to reconnect and socialize. Plus, with online groups losing their charm, in-person connections are making a strong comeback. Of course, I saw this trend coming years ago. I predicted it back then and it’s exciting to see it unfold now – and there’s even more to come! 😁 What are your thoughts on this? PS Along with the One2One.Run team, we’re also cooking up something special. Stay tuned and save the date – August 1st! Exciting times ahead! 😉 #running #runningclub #runningtrend #runfree #one2onerun #earlystage #preseed #startup #fundraising
