📣 𝐅𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐦 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 🌍 For the fourth consecutive time, Faber Group (parent company of PRS) has been recognized with the Platinum Ecovadis rating. With this score, Faber Group belongs to the top 1% tier of companies within the logistics industry.   Ingrid Faber, CEO of Faber Group: “I’m proud to see that the effort we constantly put in further enhancing our sustainability performance is being recognized for the fourth year in a row now with the Ecovadis Platinum rating. This achievement is the result of the collective actions which our colleagues in our IPP, PRS, PAKi, vPOOL and SATIM divisions undertake to further reduce the footprint of our circular load carrier pooling business. The nature of our business is in itself already very sustainable and supports our customers in reducing their footprint by using reusable load carriers -such as pallets and boxes- on a pay-per-use base. With the Faber Development Goals we’ve set in 2022, we keep challenging ourselves to keep reducing the footprint in our own logistics and optimize the usage lifespan of our load carriers. Not just by ourselves, but together with all our partners within the supply chain. This quantifies the footprint of the entire lifespan of the load carriers, which includes production, usage phase and end-of-life.   Ecovadis assesses and rates the sustainability efforts of companies worldwide on 21 criteria related to environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement – considering policies, actions and reporting. 𝐄𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟔𝟓%, 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐑𝐒 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 🎖 🌳 But how do we calculate that exactly? The recovery rate is the amount of PRS pallets that we collected and received back, divided by the amount of in-pool pallets that were sent. With "in pool" we mean the pallets that stay in the area where we can collect the pallets.   The PRS Green Label is a certificate for companies in our PRS network that help collect and re-use our pallets. Soon PRS will give out the annual 𝐏𝐑𝐒 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒. On the 12th of September, all companies in the PRS network who earned a PRS Green Label this year will find the Digital Certificate in their mailbox!     𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗥𝗦 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲? At PRS, we organise a circular pooling model to control the reuse and shared use of CP-type pallets for the European polymer industry. We collaborate with customers, distributors, converters and transporters throughout Europe to make this succeed. With this circular pooling model, we contribute to a sustainable supply chain and a better environment. But we can’t do this alone. In recognition of all the partners that help us to collect and reuse our pallets, we have initiated the PRS Green Label Certificate. We hope this way more companies will learn about the impact of returning PRS pallets and expand our group of Green Label partners each year.
