🎉 The celebration of 750 years of Amsterdam has begun! 🎉 Today, we celebrate the start of the festive year in honour of our beautiful city's 750th anniversary. Amsterdam is given a festive look, with the specially designed 750 streamers symbolising diversity and connection. We will also celebrate on the RAI grounds! The Amsterdam750 flag flies proudly, and festive banners decorate our RAI signal. Back in time, in 1975, Amsterdam celebrated its 700th anniversary with the legendary Mokum 700 event in the RAI. What will you be doing tomorrow to make a difference? 💡 At RAI Amsterdam, we’ve already started by joining forces with Vepa the furniture factory and Plastic Whale for a plastic fishing event in the Amsterdam canals. 🎣 Our team helped collect: - 1 green bag of PET bottles - 1 yellow bag of cans - 2 bags of general waste - 3 bags of other plastics - 15 pieces of glass This waste will be transformed into beautiful, circular office furniture through Plastic Whale by Vepa. ♻️ It's a great reminder that every small action contributes to a greener future. Together with the City of Amsterdam, we have signed an agreement to start with the development of the plan for the RAI area in the Zuidas district. This project will focus on enhancing our connection with the city and improving the area’s liveability through sustainable and innovative solutions. 🌿🏙️ With a focus on a better integration with the city, we aim to contribute to Amsterdam's growth while maintaining our position as a leading international exhibition and conference center. The 2024 Amsterdam Sports Gala is coming to RAI Amsterdam 🏆 We are excited to announce that the Amsterdam Sports Gala will take place on Wednesday, 22 January 2025 at RAI Amsterdam, on the eve of Jumping Amsterdam. Over the next three years, we will be joining forces with Jumping Amsterdam and Topsport Amsterdam to celebrate sports.
