According to the latest figures from the World Economic Forum, the global gender gap score currently stands at 68.5% closed. Since 2023, this has closed by just 0.1 percentage point. Based on current data, it will take 134 years to reach full parity – roughly five generations beyond the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal target. In honor of World Bicycle Day this month, 451 of our colleagues from 24 countries got on their bikes to drive support for World Bicycle Relief’s Pedal to Empower event. The event set out to raise funds to help mobilize women and girls in underdeveloped communities to improve their lives by providing them with bicycles that ultimately enable them to access: 🏫 education, 🏥 healthcare, and 💼 economic opportunities where distance is a challenge. We set out to cover 8,000 km for this year’s ride. We’re proud to say that our team sped past this, riding a total of 27,501 km! Thank you to everyone who took part and made their contribution to a fairer, more equitable world, helping people move forward, break barriers and create opportunities. Let's pedal towards a brighter future together! 💙
