At Refresco, we continuously look for innovative ways and solutions to produce soft drinks, fruit juices, and other beverages more sustainably. Reducing, recycling, and making packaging more sustainable is an important element of our ESG strategy. ♻️ One such solution is PEF, a biobased plastic alternative produced by Avantium, which enables us to offer an alternative sustainable packaging solution to our customers. 🏭 Earlier this week, we supported the opening of Avantiun's world-first FDCA factory in the north of the Netherlands which will manufacture the PEF that we will later use to package fruit juice for Albert Heijn - a local Dutch retailer. 🤝 We were honored to be joined by a very special guest: Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. With the combined presence of stakeholders including Alexander van Assouw (Refresco Benelux's Managing Director), the factory opening invited conversation about the importance of alternative and more sustainable packaging solutions in the efforts to reduce our environmental impact. #ourdrinksoneverytable #ESG #plasticsolution #packaging #recycling #sustainability

Last month, our colleagues in our Kozietuły plant at Refresco Poland had the opportunity to participate in Safety Day, where workshops were held to deepen our employees' practical knowledge on workplace safety 🦺   An impressive 80+ employees attended for 5 hours of activity in 3 training stations, practicing safety concerns like: 👷First aid training with simulated situations 👷Extinguishing several types of fires 👷Learning methods of protecting employees with PPE   Like in all of our business units, we're proud of Refresco Poland for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees will not be compromised! 🤝 #ourdrinksoneverytable #refrescopoland #safetyworkshop #safetypractice #safety

Have you ever seen a plant have no recorded injuries for an entire decade? Well, our smallest UK plant - Macduff - managed just that!🏆 Last Friday, the twenty-strong team celebrated 10 years without a lost-time incident with beautiful fanfare 🎉 The secret to 3,500+ days of safety? A long-standing passion for safety and solid working relationships within the team, who are all actively involved in the safety initiatives onsite. Macduff's Operations Manager, Bert Cassie, describes the plant's safety-first culture: "We hold regular safety walks and inspections, where we assess our workplace conditions, identify hazards, and ensure the effectiveness of our safety controls and procedures." We're heading to the southern United States to our plant in Fort Worth, TX, where a team of 220 employees and their plant manager, Darren James, are working hard to put our drinks on every table! 🍹   The plant currently operates four production lines producing carbonated soft drinks in multi-pack cases and 1 and 2 liter bottles. 🫧 🏭 The plant is formidable in size, holding an impressive 510,000 square feet of space in their location since 2005. On top of that, they possess an extra 150,000 square feet offsite warehouse where they store raw materials and finished products.   Fort Worth is also a record-breaker 🏆, competing against their own records! This summer, Ft. Worth warehouse broke their record for daily cases shipped *twice* in the month of August by first shipping nearly 130,000 cases on August 5, only to have it broken the next day with over 140,000 cases! 🚚 We couldn't be prouder! 👏   Want to be part of a winning team?
