🚀 A Hydrogen First at Formula Student! 🚀 Last week, our very own Roelof Jan Boer traveled to Lyon to support the HyDriven team during their first-ever race at FS FRANCE. Hydriven made history as the first team in the world to compete in Formula Student with a hydrogen-powered race car! Formula Student is a competition where hundreds of student teams from around the globe go head-to-head. They design, build, test, and race small-scale formula-style cars. While most teams compete with electric vehicles, Hydriven has set a new standard with hydrogen. The road to success wasn’t without challenges. During their first race of the year at the TT Circuit in Assen, the team didn’t pass the technical inspections. But in France, they got a second chance—and they made the most of it! Hydriven is now the first team in the world to race a self-built hydrogen car in Formula Student. 🌱 Together towards a sustainable future! 🌍 At Resato Hydrogen Technology, we are proud to share our knowledge and technology with the inspiring student team HyDriven, consisting of 30 motivated students from the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Together, they are working on a hydrogen-powered race car 🚗💨. Last Monday, we joined HyDriven at our location in Assen to take the next step in their project. As HyDriven mentioned themselves: "On Monday, we visited our partner Resato Hydrogen Technology to drive on hydrogen and do tests with higher power outputs than we have done so far! Earlier this year, Resato helped us assemble the tank and during this test day, they assisted us at their test location. This was the perfect preparation for Formula Student France!" Our experts, Chief Technologist Theo Post, Chief IT/OT Roelof Jan Boer, and our Hydrogen Field Service Engineer Sander Schonewille, are closely involved in optimizing their vehicle. With our shared passion for innovation and sustainability, we are helping the team achieve their ambitious goals.
