It was a great day of inspiring conversations and real-world talk!🌍 This event, organized by CBI and Forward in Fashion, marked an important step in the "Circular Tunisian Apparel Sector Transition" program for 2024. Tunisian frontrunner manufacturers are taking bold steps to transform the industry from linear to circular models ♻️ We talked about the importance of embracing upcycling by Tunisian suppliers. We discussed change management, thinking differently, and staying flexible in a continuously changing world. As part of this initiative, a selection of Frontrunners (Tunisian frontrunner manufacturers) will visit the Netherlands during the week of September 16-20, 2024. The talks also addressed not only the environmental and social benefits but the economic benefits for brands to upcycle. These advantages strengthen the relationships between suppliers and their clients (brands) and enable progress toward a circular economy✨ #CircularEconomy #SustainableFashion #Upcycling #BCorp #FashionRevolution #TunisianFashion #FutureOfFashion #SustainabilityMatters #FashionForGood

Let’s turn beautiful words into real action – Join the 100x1000 Upcycling Club!🚀🚀🚀 For the past year, we’ve partnered with Amsterdam Economic Board, Amsterdam Transition Institute, De Groene Afslag, and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences to help fashion entrepreneurs shift from talk to action – focusing on quality over quantity in the fashion industry. The result? Inspiring upcycling ideas and projects that turn leftover stock into fresh, innovative pieces. But we’re just getting started.💥 ✨ Our frontrunners – Studio Anneloes BV, 10DAYS, King Louie, and Patta Exclusive Sneakers BV. – have already committed. Now, it’s your turn to join them in leading the upcycling movement! Why Upcycle? Upcycling isn't just a trend; it’s a way to create a lasting legacy by leading the fashion industry with purpose. It helps you minimize your environmental footprint, making a real difference in sustainability. Financially, circular models can boost your profitability, offering better margins compared to traditional methods. By upcycling, you also enhance your brand’s reputation, standing out in a crowded market. Staying ahead of evolving regulations ensures you’re not just compliant but proactive. Additionally, upcycling supports local communities, reinforcing regional production networks. Why Collaborate in the 100x1000 upcycling club? When you collaborate, you unlock the potential for joint subsidies, pooling resources for greater benefits. Sharing the risks with others in the industry helps mitigate individual challenges, while collective efforts lead to a broader impact and reach. Collaboration fosters innovation and creativity, driving new solutions and ideas. By working together, you can also achieve scalability, making your processes more efficient and effective. Ultimately, collaboration enhances your brand image, building credibility and distinguishing you in the market. 🗓 Join us on October 10th, the Day of the Circular Economy, and be part of the transformation with Transitieagenda Consumptiegoederen! Let’s turn our vision into reality by uniting 100 brands to upcycle 1,000 garments each year. This is our opportunity to shape a sustainable future for fashion. For more details and to get involved, visit: https://lnkd.in/gC8fnHDs Be a part of the solution – let’s upcycle and create a fashion industry that truly cares! 🌟 Comment YES if you want to join and PRESENTATION if you would like our full 100x1000 upcycling presentation (see a few slides attached). #100x1000Club #Upcycling #SustainableFashion #TurnWordsIntoAction #CircularEconomy #JoinTheMovement

We need CHANGE 🌏 Many people are still tempted to buy from fast fashion companies. Fast fashion companies are rapidly producing trendy clothing and are gaining popularity through this. But what many people don't know is how harmful this way of consuming actually is. So what can you do instead of buying trendy clothes from fast fashion companies? Investing in timeless, good quality items is a much more responsible way of buying. If there however is a trend that you really love, try working with what’s already in your wardrobe or finding it second hand and making it your own 🙌 …Buy less, choose well & make it last (as Vivienne Westwood expressed it so well.) What else can we do to minimise fast fashion purchases? Let us know in the comments below 👇 #SustainableFashion #SlowFashion #ConsciousConsumer #ChooseQuality #BuyLessChooseWell #MakeFashionBetter #SecondHandStyle

Is upcycling clothing worth it? Ever wondered about the true impact of upcycling your clothes? Here’s the scoop: 🧡 Energy saver: Upcycling cuts energy use by 4-25% compared to new clothing. By reusing existing materials, we conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 🧡 Resource friendly: Upcycling conserves resources and reduces waste. Each piece of upcycled clothing helps divert waste from landfills, contributing to a more sustainable planet. 🧡 Market boom: The market size of the textile recycling market is estimated to be USD 6.9 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach USD 9.4 billion by 2027 at CAGR of 6.4% Upcycling vs. Recycling: Upcycling creatively repurposes old materials into new, unique items, while recycling breaks them down to create new raw materials. Both approaches help reduce waste but in different ways. Check out our latest blog for a deeper dive into the benefits of upcycling and its environmental impact! What’s your take on this? Share your thoughts or DM us for a consultation🌍✨ #Upcycling #Circularity #WasteReduction #RepurposeFashion #SustainableWardrobe #FashionImpact #ReuseRevolution
