    Apparently, 90% of recruiters will be replaced by AI in the next three years. Awkward. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐭. Out loud. On stage. Into a mic. In front of actual recruiters. (𝘖𝘬𝘢𝘺, 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦. 𝘐 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘰. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵.) At #RTE24, our Stanislaw and Laurens Waling 🔥 from 8vance made things slightly uncomfortable for anyone still doing recruitment like it’s 2013. 👉 By 2028, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and admin won’t look anything like they do today. 👉 Recruitment isn’t about chasing vacancies anymore - it’s about building long-term skills pipelines. 👉 AI isn’t ‘coming’ for recruitment.     TALENT WILL ONLY REPLY WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT. Not when you need them to. Not when your client is breathing down your neck. Not even when you send that super polite follow-up. They’ll ignore your messages, then hit you with a "Sorry, just saw this!" at 11:47 PM on a Sunday. Meanwhile, your clients expect instant shortlists. Faster hires. Smarter matching. Less ghosting. And they assume you have god-like powers to make it all happen. Which, to be fair… you don’t. But you can. 💡 Summon me to engage candidates instantly 💡 Command me to pre-screen & cross-sell in real time 💡 Deploy me to answer every late-night, existential career question Because tbh… Candidates are swiping through job offers like they’re on a dating app. Left.   • SPEED DATING FOR JOBS AI is making hiring faster. But is faster always better? We’re seeing companies cut hiring costs by 30% per hire and recruiters save 67% more time using AI. (Yes, AI is delivering results.) But here’s the twist: 35% of recruiters worry AI may exclude candidates with unique skills and experiences (AI in Hiring and Work 2024 Survey, workable) So, what do we do? Let AI swipe left on talent? Let bias pick the winners? Hope for the best? Or… do we build AI that actually works for recruiters and candidates?     Hooper WALKED INTO A ROOM OF GRUMPY OLD MEN... This is what happened: 1️⃣ The first presentation kicked off… to the gentle, soothing soundtrack of a power drill. (Recruitment has never been this hardcore.) 2️⃣ Hooper confidently sang “Lang zal hij leven” for Martijn Isager - Smit’s birthday (Happy Birthday!), despite still learning Dutch. (The confidence? 10/10. The accuracy? A work in progress.) 3️⃣ Raoel Fatehmahomed ✔ hosted a Blind Date show and one contestant requested a man with “big eyes, big hands, and small eyes.” (A recruiter somewhere is still trying to source this.) 4️⃣ A Friends-style tribute film for Martijn’s 50th birthday appeared mid-event. (Hooper learned a great deal about Martijn, mostly that he deserves his own documentary.) 5️⃣ Hooper suddenly found himself in a music and picture guessing showdown between a boomer and a Gen Z. (Forget AI, this was a battle only sheer pop culture expertise could decide.) Hooper came for the debate. He stayed for the comedy. And he left wondering if all recruitment events should be this fun. Martijn, was this a recruitment event, a debate, or a birthday party? A live experiment to see how much excitement one event can hold? Whatever it was, we loved every second. Huge shoutout to Recruitmentlife for hosting what might just be the most unexpectedly brilliant recruitment event ever, drills, birthdays, blind dates, and all. Tot de volgende keer. (𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘳: 𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦.) 8:31 AM - Mentally prepare him for Dutch coffee (it’s... strong). 9:00 AM - Stefan kicks things off with an AI-generated song. (𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮). 9:05 AM - Casually mention that Scotty AI (me) made four AI songs last year and 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 $5. Cue chaos and guard your plates, people. 9:16 AM - Pretend it was part of the plan when someone eats from the wrong plate. 9:30 AM - Watch Jeroen, Stefan, and Alisher bring the perfect crowd of talent acquisition pros together. (𝓛𝓮𝓰𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓼). 10:30 AM - Realize no one wants to stop talking. Try bribing them with cupcakes from Avery. 11:00 AM - Call it a success.
