I quit! 👋 A job can have an expiration date. Just like the coffee milk in the office fridge: when kept too long, it gets sour. For some people, that expiration date lasts 40 years. For others, a job can 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 age like milk, and it's time to move on after just a couple of years. Either way, when your expiration date comes, you'll write your resignation letter. (Yes, even when you're sour) Here's how you do it right: 🥛 Start with the date, name of your manager, their title and the company's name. 🥛 Make clear what your intention is, mention your job title and date of resignation. 🥛 Express what you learned and valued at the company. "With this letter I would like to submit my resignation. I am terminating the employment contract with a notice period of 1 month. This will take effect on 1/12/2024. I want to express my sincere gratitude, thanks for our cooperation and the nice time I had at <company>. I will take everything learned here with me in the continuation of my career." Be brief and to the point. No need to extensively write your reasons, there will be time for that in your exit interview. Once you've written your letter, you can submit it in person, or via email. This wholly depends on your company's culture. No need to overthink it. Toss the milk. To a future with better coffees and fresh milk.

🏖️ Vacation isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity for a balanced life. Here's 𝟱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 why you need to prioritize vacations: (Employers, are you listening?) 1. Recharge and chill 🔋 A break allows your body and mind to completely relax, making you more energetic and creative when you return. 2. Gain new perspective 🌄 Sometimes, taking a step back from work can offer you fresh ideas and insights to help you approach challenges with a different mindset. 3. Healthy mind, healthy body 🏔️ Stress is a silent killer. Vacations reduce stress levels (unless you go climbing the Kilimanjaro, of course), which lowers the risk of burning out. You know that dreading feeling of 'ugh, I need a rest'? That's your body telling you to take time off. 4. Happier about your job 💼 No guarantees, but knowing that you can take time off helps you feel more balanced, and increases job satisfaction. 5. Family time! 🧑🧑🧒🧒 No more rushed dinners and quick bed-time stories. Vacation gives you the time to bond with your loved ones. So, don’t just dream about that getaway—plan it! Your future self (and your team) will thank you.

How to unplug from work during your vacation 🏖️ Time to put down the computer mouse, and pick up a beach towel... 💻 Leave work devices at home We're online, 24/7. So if you can, leave your work laptop and phone at home. This will help minimize temptation to check in on work-related matters. 🗂️ Delegate your responsibilities Before your vacation, delegate any tasks or projects to colleagues or team members. This will help ensure that critical work is still being done, so you can relax knowing your work is in good hands . ✅ Communicate your availability Inform colleagues and clients of your vacation plans and when you'll be unavailable. If you're going to do some work: set clear expectations for when you'll respond to emails etc. You'll return to the office with renewed energy, fresh ideas, and hopefully a bit of a tan 🌞 ******************************************** ☝️ We share career and recruitment tips & tricks ✌️ Follow us to spice up your feed with some recruitment wisdom 👉 Enjoying our content?
