And it's facility manager, Sebastian Macho has committed to making the site energy efficient: “Monument protection does not make it impossible to implement climate protection measures.” Recently, our portfolio company, vilisto GmbH sat down with him to discuss the work it has been doing with the monastery to implement a sustainable heating solution that goes hand-in-hand with heritage conservation. "With a heating system, it doesn't matter whether it's in an office building or in a 900-year-old monastery. In order to reduce gas consumption, for example, it was clear to us that we had to be more efficient and that's when we came across vilisto."
