After four years with Supergasbras Energia Ltda, SHV Energy’s business in Brazil, Aline relocated to the Netherlands to grow her experience in a global role. İpragaz A.Ş., SHV Energy’s business in Turkey, first launched its free iPApp app in November 2019, providing customers with a seamless digital experience for ordering LPG cylinders. The app also helps Ipragaz’ network of dealers easily schedule and run their operations more efficiently. In this short video, we take a closer look together with the Ipragaz team. They explain how they collaborated across functions to develop and launch the app, which continues evolving to this day. So what's next? iPApp will be made available for commercial customers, too. It's another important milestone for the already popular app. With more than one million downloads from the Google Play store, iPApp has earned 4.8 out of 5 stars and 186K reviews. iPApp is also available on the Apple App store, where it is rated 4.8 out of 5 stars with 38.7K reviews. We are proud to share that Liquigas, SHV Energy's business in Italy, recently completed its first delivery of bioLPG. BioLPG is propane produced from renewable feedstocks such as plant and vegetable waste material. As a drop-in replacement for conventional LPG, bioLPG enables customers to dramatically reduce their carbon footprint without adjusting their existing energy systems. Vanessa Becerra is Technical Manager for Primagas - SHV Energy’s business in Spain. As a Chemical Engineering and Chemistry graduate who now enjoys a successful career, Vanessa reflects on the recent International Day of Girls and Women in Science, and shares her thoughts with us. Vanessa says that in her experience, many girls show a strong interest in, and ability for, science-based subjects. But sadly, too many lack the self-confidence to pursue a career in the field. Promoting skills Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM subjects) from a young age is essential. And while times are changing for the better, Vanessa believes that more can be done to drive progress. Congratulations to the students of the Rita Levi Montalcini Middle School of Torre a Mare, in Bari, Italy, who won a creative contest organised by Liquigas, SHV Energy’s business in Italy. As part of Liquigas’ "1,2,3...Breathe!" environmental education project, the students participated in a workshop to learn more about the importance of pollinators for our planet. Not only did the students try their hand at creating beeswax candles, the young winners were presented with a special prize: a bug hotel for pollinating insects to help promote local biodiversity. They're the latest students to take part in the "1,2,3...Breathe!" project, which has so far involved over 4,000 middle schools and over 300,000 students across Italy. The campaign seeks to raise young people's awareness of air quality, environmental sustainability and alternative energy. Reflecting on the transformational power of education, SHV Energy is proud to recognise those colleagues across our businesses worldwide for volunteering their time, knowledge and expertise to help the communities in which they live and work.   Selected examples from the past year include supporting non-governmental organisations in India, providing employment focused workshops for teenage refugees in the Netherlands, helping people bridge the digital divide in Belux, promoting sustainability in Brazil, and educating children on environmental sustainability in Italy (pictured below).   We look forward to continuing these efforts through 2025 and beyond.   #CSR #Education #Community
