After a busy week in Munich, one of the final deliverables of the project has been uploaded to the SmartHubs website!💡 Antonia Graf, Julia Hansel and Tomma F. W. from the Universität Münster addressed participatory implications in the development of #mobility #hubs to enhance democratic integration and inclusiveness. The report highlights the importance of citizen involvement in mobility planning. 🎤Day 2 of SmartHubs in Munich: our final #symposium! The day started with talks from Karst Geurs & David Duran Rodas, with insights from the SmartHubs project & the living lab activities performed by TUM Accessibility Planning within Munich. To provide more local context, Alva Zakariasson shared with us the strategy on mobility hubs from the City of Munich. After the plenary sessions, it was time for an active #fishbowl panel discussion, with input from policy makers & practitioners from the City of Munich (Chris Helf), MVV (Gesa Volpers), MVG (Martin Sauer), DB (Danitza Toca), Lime (Max Pahlke) and of course all participants! Finally, we handed over our final report to the practitioners from Munich, with 10 #recommendations for policy makers & practitioners to make mobility hubs smarter. ☀ Yesterday, it was time for the SmartHubs #Training #Day! Hosted by TUM Accessibility Planning, the participants from all over Europe learnt about the 4 different SmartHubs tools & applied them to the local situation in Munich. 🎮🗺📊 To do so, they received valuable input from our project partners and local stakeholders: the City of Munich, MVV, MVG and Lime. In the end, the participants presented their findings on how to plan, design and evaluate mobility hubs. Interested? 📢 A week full of interesting SmartHubs activities! Today it is time for the SmartHubs Training Day, hosted by TUM Accessibility Planning at the Technical University of Munich! Tomorrow, we will share our project's results during our final #symposium, and in the days following, we present multiple components of the project during #mobilTUM2024. We will keep you posted!
We are looking forward to hosting 2 days of our SmartHubs training program as part of an JPI Urban Europe examining mobility hubs, dedicated on-street locations where citizens can choose from different shared and sustainable mobility options.
