Monthly Progress Update, Advancements in carbon work and precisely assembling the rear drive unit! Exciting strides in our rear drive unit development! This week's spotlight on the strut involved meticulous carbon work and crafting aluminum components, These crafted aluminum components play a crucial role in securing internal elements during the glueing process.Notably, we ensured precise alignment, seamlessly fitting the aluminum parts into the carbon structure. Today, successful assembly marks a significant leap, progressing towards assembling the halves and applying a sleek clear coat to the strut. ☀️🔧 #Solarteamsneek #Innovation #Engineering

Monthly update, We’ve been working on the rear drive unit and foil assembly!🧡🌞 R&D: Our focus is on functionality and reliability. The rear drive unit and foil assembly are meticulously crafted with carbon fibre in combination with aluminium, ensuring strength, weight efficiency, and structural integrity. 🔧 CFD insights: We've taken a methodical approach. By weighing the boat and analysing data, we've initiated the design phase for a new strut and foil combination. the foil design has been evolving based on precise hydrodynamic insights, these simulations have allowed us to optimize the foil for maximum efficiency and performance. 🚤 Work in Progress: Testing lies ahead as we aim for functional benchmarks. The journey continues, and updates will follow as we progress. #SolarteamSneek #TechUpdate #SolarBoatProgress #R&D

BIG NEWS! We are thrilled to announce our new boat, Miss Worldwide. acquired from the amazing TU Delft Hydro Motion Team! 🧡☀️🌍 After extensive deliberation within our team, we realized it was time for renewal and improvement. Over the past months we’ve been discussing how to improve our current boat, the Sinnekûgel. unfortunately we constantly ran into the same problem which is the weight of the boat. But then we came across Miss Worldwide, presenting an opportunity to compete at the highest level once again. 🔧 We acquired this state-of-the-art boat from the team because they want the legacy of the boat to live on and remain active. We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to keep pushing the boundaries of solar energy 🚤 Our trusted Sinnekûgel will still shine this season, but we are excited about its retirement after many memorable moments. Miss Worldwide is ready to take the torch and propel our team to new heights! A special thanks to the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team for this fantastic opportunity and their support!💙 #SolarTeamSneek #MissWorldwide #InnovationInSolarEnergy #hydromotionteam
