Exciting news for innovative #startups and #scaleups! The Netherlands has officially been announced as an Innovation Node in the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) by Enterprise Singapore, expanding opportunities for two-way technology and innovation partnerships between Singapore and the Netherlands. This announcement was made by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Heng Swee Keat, during the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2024 and launched at the Global Stage at SWITCH by Ambassador Anneke Adema and Director Global Innovation Network Bernice Tay of Enterprise Singapore. The Netherlands, ranked 8th in the Global Innovation Index, now hosts GIA nodes in Amsterdam and Eindhoven, positioning itself as a key player in sectors such as #advancedmanufacturing, #agritech, #healthtech, #sustainability, and #smartmobility. These nodes will support Singapore-based tech startups in accessing the Dutch market, while also opening pathways for Dutch startups to expand into Singapore. The programs will be supported by @Netherlands Enterprise Agency, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Singapore and Netherlands Innovation Network Singapore. During the launch CEO Startup Bootcamp Kauan Von Novack and CEO HighTechXL John Bell shared more about the upcoming programmes: 🔹 Amsterdam: Partnering with Startupbootcamp to focus on market access opportunities in agritech, digital tech, and renewable energy. 🔹 Eindhoven: Partnering with HighTechXL to drive deep tech innovations, supported by Europe's renowned high-tech ecosystem. Ambassador Anneke Adema, highlights the value of partnerships in fostering innovation: “The Netherlands and Singapore are all about strong partnerships, with entrepreneurs, startups, network partners, research institutes and government agencies. As relatively small but impactful countries guided by outward looking and global mindsets, we know that opportunities for inclusive growth are borderless.
