Sportsbet is the only wagering brand advertised on the Foxtel In-Venue network in over 4,200 pubs and clubs across Australia and we don't take this lightly. Everyone loves Pub Trivia, so this year, we created trivia based ads to get punters excited for upcoming games across AFL and NRL. Every week during the footy season we deliver 10+ bespoke ads using Storyteq to customise teams, players, markets, and player stats (using Sportsbet’s Player Form). For example, for last weekend’s Port vs Bulldogs game, we highlighted that Bulldogs player Bailey Williams had 20+ disposals in 4 of the last 5 games. This then ties nicely to our call to action to add the player to your Same Game Multi. The creative is different to our usual TV ads to better suit a noisy pub atmosphere, with background music (no voice over) and slow-moving frames to ensure the audience are absorbing key messages. This was a collaborative effort so a huge shoutout goes to Callan Mckean for helping to shape the pub trivia idea, Kris Dollman for his insane animation skills, Toby Barrett for building the Storyteq Template and Zane Macdermid for dispatching the assets weekly.
