    Why is there so much Digital Diarrhea on LinkedIn at the moment? It's like the LinkedIn pods of 2017 all over again, the same people commenting on each other's posts that add no value, just very obvious or obnoxious content that is just words and fluff for likes. For 2 years I did no active BD it was all LinkedIn content, but it was content that added value, actual insight and knowledge into the industry. But people are just copying each other now, posting the same content just worded slightly differently. You know those 13-year-olds on TikTok saying if you don't have 3 streams of income by 14 you're failing at life, we're acting like that here now. I'd like to see more content in games that adds value to the industry, so please tell me any recommendations for accounts to follow or connect. I want industry news and resources! - Note I just ask LinkedIn to hide the posts I don't find interesting now, but they are like Hydra hide one 3 more pop-ups.

The studio specialises in translating Board Games, to games we can play off the dining table and into games on our couch or at our desk. With an already impressive catalogue and more games in the pipeline, you'll be working on projects for both PC and Console, utilising their in-house testing tools.     Collaboration is like a great game. You can't win alone. (Unless it's Solo's or Single Player) We've been working with KRAFTON since they landed in Amsterdam, and it's been an incredible journey 🥳 An amazing few years with this gaming powerhouse. Now I’ll be honest I'm awful at PUBG but our team is great at delivering the right talent. The mission was: -A team with global reach. -Development spread across continents. -Each studio with its own mission. All parts of a massive puzzle. Despite the challenges. Amazing games are made. In the end we did 3 key things: -Expanded our recruitment efforts -Supported teams across the globe -Brought diverse talents together We’ve placed programmers, QA testers, country leads, audio designers, and more.     Game Studio Hiring Problem Solver

    One of the biggest hurdles in hiring? Time to hire! Over the years I've seen 100's of studios lose out on great candidates due to their time to hire taking so long. CV feedback realistically should never take more than 48 hours, arranging that first interview should be within the week. No hiring process should take much more than a month for a great candidate. But why does it take so long sometimes? 1) Loose Time Frames Setting agreed days/times for first-stage interviews / CV feedback has made the hiring process much more efficient. But many recruiters / hiring managers don't do this and simply do it Ad-hoc. 2) Bad Communication between teams (external and internal) I've been bad at this myself in the past, but when we add several layers of communication into the hiring process, it can sometimes take a ridiculously extended period of time, as well External and Internal teams not communicating need changes fast enough. 3) Anticipation for the unknown Always thinking there is a better candidate or more profiles out there, this market is extremely competitive, and no studio is overwhelmed with candidates, give those in front of you the attention and chance they deserve. 4) Looking for the perfect fit. Similar to the one above, I feel often we are too strict on Job Specs / Ideal candidate requirements, do we wait 6 months for somebody to possibly be the perfect hire or do we bring somebody in and fill in that gap in their skills in the next 6 months? One way to avoid these issues is to have a hiring partner, who doesn't just see your roles as a chance to make a fee, instead, they want to work with you to make the hires happen and will help guide you to ensure it happens as quickly as possible.
