Excited to announce that I recently made a significant career pivot: I've joined Tappr, a company at the forefront of the Digital Product Passport revolution. For those unfamiliar, DPPs are essentially digital IDs for products. By scanning a QR code consumers can access a wealth of information, including sustainability certifications, supply chain journeys, and detailed product information. This level of transparency is critical for addressing pressing issues like sustainability and the EU has mandated DPPs for all textiles by 2027. (There’s also a ton of DPP commercial benefits but for the sake time, and your attention span, I’ll save that for another post 😉) This move is a homecoming of sorts for me back to the apparel and labeling industry, a space I know well from my time at Checkpoint Systems. I’m particularly drawn to the intersection of technology and sustainability, and DPPs offer a powerful solution that combines both of these. But Tappr also offers something more – a chance to be part of the future. The team is made up of young, dynamic professionals who share the same passion for innovation that I do. I'm eager to leverage my experience to guide the team, while also learning from their fresh perspective and new ideas. Tappr has already made significant strides in this space, partnering with renowned brands and industry leaders but there’s plenty more to be done. It's inspiring to be part of something that's not just keeping up with the times, but defining them. So, here's to new beginnings, bold ambitions, and the power of disruptive technology! For my connections — let's connect to explore how DPPs can transform your business and drive growth. Send me a DM or visit Tappr’s website (see below).

If your brand sells products on the French market — even if you are not located in France — don't skip over this post. Here's why: France's Anti-Waste Law — also called Loi AGEC — is a regulation for new products that are introduced on the French Market and have been identified as ‘’waste-generating’’. Your brand must comply if it meets both of these conditions: • You sell products covered by the Decree • You introduce these products to the French market (including online sales) The deadline for complying depends on company's size and how many products sold. Check Tappr's guide to see if the 🇫🇷 regulation applies to you:

Greenwashing isn't just a bad look anymore. In the EU, it can be a very costly mistake. Here’s why ⬇ Think with Google research shows an eye-opening 78% of people are skeptical of "sustainable" claims on a brand's website. The EU Green Claims Directive is here to change that. It's a set of rules that holds businesses accountable for their environmental claims. What does it cover? ✅ Proof: You need to back up your claims with solid evidence. ✅ Clarity: Your claims should be clear and understandable to consumers. ✅ Legit labels: Any environmental labels you use must meet specific criteria & be verifiable. Tappr has broken down what you need to know about the EU Green Claims Directive — including the requirements and practical compliance tips: https://lnkd.in/eb_F5a8M

Next webinar from Tappr has been announced: Mark your calendar for Nov 7th! The session is specifically on data management surrounding Digital Product Passports — this is unfamiliar territory for many people I’ve spoken to in sustainability, manufacturing, textiles, etc. But we’re here to help, and I’ll be in good company with Jimmy Christopher, Hayley Solomon & Warren Owen! Jimmy Christopher is the Head of Sustainability at ITL - Intelligent Label Solutions . ITL has a massive presence globally, working from over 21 locations in nearly every time zone — definitely an innovator in apparel labeling products & someone you’ll want to hear from. And the Director of Business Development at BanQu Inc., Warren Owen will also be joining. If you aren’t familiar with Banqu, they are the go-to solution for supply chain traceability. They bring a deep knowledge on compliance and sustainability in the apparel & textile industry. Given the high interest expressed around the topic, we're offering two separate sessions to accommodate different times: EU Session: Thursday, November 7th at 15:00 CET US Session: Thursday, November 7th at 14:00 EST Very excited for this event and I’m very excited to answer more questions during the session — this was one of my favorite parts from the last webinar! Feel free to submit a question below or send via DM, we’ll be sure to cover it. Register here (completely free): https://lnkd.in/eZ98Z4N8
