Exciting Update for Expats and Businesses in the Netherlands! We have some great news! The previously announced reduction of the 30% ruling (set to decrease from 30% to 20% and then 10% over the next five years starting January 2024) has been reversed! This is a significant development for international employees and companies that depend on this tax benefit to attract and retain top talent. According to the new plans presented today on Budget Day (Prinsjesdag), the 30% ruling will now be adjusted to a 27% ruling starting January 2027. This change offers much-needed stability and assurance for both current and prospective expats and their employers, ensuring that the Netherlands remains an attractive destination for international professionals. In these challenging economic times, it’s encouraging to see measures that support the international business community and acknowledge the value that global talent brings to the Dutch economy. This adjustment provides a clear path forward and strengthens the competitive edge of businesses operating in the Netherlands. If you have any questions or would like advice on how this change might affect you or your organization, feel free to reach out. Let’s navigate these changes together! #ExpatLife #30PercentRuling #TalentAttraction #InternationalBusiness #BudgetDay #Prinsjesdag2024

Important Reminder for 30% Ruling Holders! If you hold the 30% ruling and are considering a job change, note the following conditions to reapply this benefit: Employment Gap: Ensure the gap between your current job's end and new job's acceptance is less than three months. No Overlapping Employment: Your previous job must end before your new job begins, with no overlapping activities. Employers: Verify that the previous employment of new hires with the 30% ruling ends before their start date with your company. Maintain seamless 30% ruling benefits through proper planning and communication. #30PercentRuling #EmploymentChange #HR #Payroll #ExpatBenefits
