We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in Latin America. The Port of Callao in Peru has inaugurated its first electric charging facilities at the terminal, representing a pivotal step towards achieving our decarbonisation targets. This state-of-the-art charging station is powered exclusively by renewable energy sourced from solar panels. It will service twenty fully electric trucks, a development made possible through our strategic partnership with Enel X. What a celebration it was!

Attendees from across Europe gathered to witness the future of electric roll-on roll-off terminal operations. The Stenaline terminal in Rotterdam played host to a live demonstration of the Terberg RT-EV Proof of Concept Tractor. The robust EV is designed for the demanding task of loading and unloading semi-trailers onto RoRo ships. DP World's Callao terminal in Peru has successfully integrated a fleet of 20 electric Terberg Terminal Tractors into its daily operations. The 236 kWh capacity fully supports daily operations at the terminal. The shunt trucks are running 15-20 hours a day, averaging 12 hours on a single charge. Helrom specialises in transport by using block trains and open trains. To transfer semitrailers to and from the rail wagons Helrom uses fully electric Terberg terminal tractors. "We have a good customer relationship with Terberg for many years. By switching to electric terminal tractors, we can continu on this path to the Net Zero Economy together," said Christian Schindler, Senior Manager Trailer Hubs at Helrom.
