They are used in customer end-products around the world, from ultrasound steel plate inspection to medical devices. One of our customers, leading in test-and measurement, is launching shortly a high-end test instrument in the domain of 5G mobile communication. The device was built around our Miami Plus SOM to achieve a highly integrated, small form-factor and high-performance system. TOPIC Embedded Systems is a system developer with its office in Best. We develop embedded systems essential to many products manufactured by reputable high tech companies worldwide. These may include low level embedded software, but also application software, user interfaces, web or mobile applications or FPGAs. With our knowledge and expertise we carry out consultancy assignments, projects on site and at TOPIC’s own offices and we develop our own embedded products such as Miami, Florida and Dyplo. We often use these as part of the solution that we offer to our clients. In short, we are able to provide a highly specialised added value that allows our clients to grow. This has been our objective from the start in 1996 and since then our company has grown to 135 employees. TOPIC is a key player in the high tech sector. Plus, we are at the heart of Brainport and close to the universities: at the global top. We are the place to be. Since 2023 we our proud member of the Technology & Strategy group. We value the personal touch and are driven in our client approach. Their ambitions become our ambitions. And it is that same personal approach in which our staff interacts among each other. For almost 10 years, Jacob has been part of our TOPIC family. Since his joining he has worked for several customers, contributing to their developments with his extensive knowledge in FPGA and hardware development. With his helpful and friendly nature, Jacob has been an important member of the family and an awesome colleague to everyone he worked with. Often known as the “nestor” of the team, he is always open to support others and build strong relationships. A one-day in person event where the latest technologies and cutting-edge solutions were presented to a select group leading AMD customers. As Premier Adaptive Computing Partner of AMD, we joined the summit to present our SOM-as-IP concept, our IEEE 1588-HA (White Rabbit) precision timing solution, and our capabilities for high complex board design & FPGA development. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀! Today we celebrate a very special milestone, as it is 𝟮𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 ago that Niels van Meegen joined our TOPIC family. Niels joined us back in 1999 directly after graduating. Since then, he has worked as a consultant for several customers contributing for a longer period of time to their projects. Recently, he started a new challenge within one of our farm-out teams and we are very happy to have him around at the office more often! With his technical knowledge, domain expertise and above all kind and calm personality he is always a big help and support to his team members. Last week, another long time TOPIC’er celebrated his 𝟮𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 TOPIC jubilee. Mike Looijmans joined us back in 2004. As a real technical specialist in Embedded Linux, driver development, board support and embedded development, he is always up to share his knowledge and help others. Over the years Mike has worked as a consultant for several customers, was an important member of the core team setting up our System-on-Modules and Dyplo solution, and contributed to many inhouse projects as valued member of our projects team. And last, but not least, we also celebrated the jubilee of Mahesh kumar Veloo this month, who joined TOPIC 𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 ago. Mahesh is a domain expert and one of the core members of our VF Farm-out team since the early beginning. With his good eye for quality and the ability to always ask the right questions that give you something to think about, he is an involved and important member of the team. 🔺 Congratulations again Niels, Mike and Mahes!
