🔧 Trainingen bij Tradinco Instruments!🔧 Op 18 juni en 2 juli hebben wij met veel plezier kalibratietraining gegeven aan de technici van Stokvis Service BV bij Tradinco Instruments. Stokvis Service BV levert onderhouds- en kalibratiediensten voor de professionele garagewereld. Tijdens de sessies hebben we diepgaande kennis gedeeld over kalibreren, meetonzekerheid en best practices in ons vakgebied. De interactie en het enthousiasme van de technici waren inspirerend en zullen bijdragen aan hun succes in het dagelijkse werk. Dank aan het team van Stokvis voor de geweldige samenwerking. Stokvis Service BV provides maintenance and calibration services for the professional garage industry. During the sessions, we shared in-depth knowledge about calibration, measurement uncertainty, and best practices in our field. Historisch erfgoed in perfecte staat! Deze dead weight tester, afkomstig van Budenberg Gauge Ltd in Altrincham bij Manchester, dateert hoogstwaarschijnlijk uit de periode 1938/1939. Met een indrukwekkend bereik tot 1200 kg/cm2 heeft deze balans duizenden kalibraties doorstaan en heeft tot 4 april 2003 trouwe dienst bewezen bij Schaeffer & Budenberg in Den Haag, later Alphen aan de Rijn en Utrecht. Het is naar verluidt een van de slechts drie exemplaren die zijn gebouwd. Eén ervan heeft dienst gedaan bij de Staatsmijnen Limburg, terwijl een ander helaas beschadigd is geraakt. Gelukkig hebben we dit exemplaar in zijn volledig operationele staat kunnen behouden, dankzij de gulle schenking van Aernout Notenboom. Sinds juli 1979 restaureert en kalibreert Aernout in zijn vrije tijd manometers en vacuümmeters. In die 45 jaar heeft hij meer dan 13.500 instrumenten "behandeld", waarvan bijna alle nog steeds in gebruik zijn. Meer dan 10.000 van deze instrumenten waren van het fabrikaat Schaeffer & Budenberg, Maschinen- und Dampfkesselarmaturenfabrik zu Magdeburg-Buckau. #IndustrieelErfgoed #Precisie #BudenbergGauge #Historie --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Historical heritage in perfect condition!   This dead weight tester, originating from Budenberg Gauge Ltd in Altrincham near Manchester, most likely dates back to the period 1938/1939. With an impressive range of up to 1200 kg/cm2, this balance has endured thousands of calibrations and faithfully served until April 4, 2003, at Schaeffer & Budenberg in The Hague, later in Alphen aan den Rijn and Utrecht.   It is reportedly one of only three units ever built. One of them served at the Staatsmijnen Limburg, while another was unfortunately damaged. Fortunately, we have been able to preserve this unit in its fully operational state, thanks to the generous donation from Aernout Notenboom.   Since July 1979, Aernout has been restoring and calibrating manometers and vacuum gauges in his spare time. In those 45 years, he has "handled" more than 13,500 instruments, almost all of which are still in use. Temperatuurkalibraties zijn vaak cruciaal. Afwijkingen in temperatuur kunnen van invloed zijn op de productkwaliteit en veiligheid. Wat zijn drie veelvoorkomende fouten? 1️⃣ Onnauwkeurige referentiestandaarden: Een van de meest voorkomende fouten is het gebruik van onnauwkeurige referentiestandaarden of standaarden waarvan de kalibratie op een onnauwkeurige manier is uitgevoerd. Het is essentieel om ervoor te zorgen dat de standaarden die worden gebruikt nauwkeurig genoeg zijn en dat deze volledig traceerbaar zijn naar internationale standaarden. Herleidbaarheid van de referentiestandaard wordt gegarandeerd door deze te laten kalibreren onder ISO17025 accreditatie. 2️⃣ Onvoldoende stabilisatietijd: Een gebrek aan voldoende stabilisatietijd kan leiden tot onnauwkeurige metingen. Sensoren hebben tijd nodig om op te warmen en af te koelen en zo een stabiele meting te leveren. De stabilisatietijd is onder andere afhankelijk van de grootte van de sensor. Doorgaans geldt hoe groter het instrument, hoe langer de stabilisatietijd. Het negeren van de stabilisatietijd kan resulteren in inconsistente resultaten. 3️⃣ Onjuiste omgevingsomstandigheden: Temperatuurkalibraties moeten worden uitgevoerd onder gecontroleerde omgevingsomstandigheden om nauwkeurige resultaten te garanderen. Factoren zoals luchtvochtigheid, luchtcirculatie en stralingswarmte kunnen de metingen beïnvloeden. Het is belangrijk om de omgevingstemperatuur te controleren en waar nodig te compenseren voor deze factoren. What are three common errors? 1️⃣ Inaccurate reference standards: One of the most common errors is the use of inaccurate reference standards or standards calibrated in an inaccurate manner. It is essential to ensure that the standards used are accurate enough and that they are fully traceable to international standards. Traceability of the reference standard is guaranteed by having it calibrated under ISO17025 accreditation. 2️⃣ Insufficient stabilization time: Lack of sufficient stabilization time can lead to inaccurate measurements. Sensors need time to warm up and cool down to provide a stable measurement. Stabilization time depends, among other factors, on the size of the sensor. Generally, the larger the instrument, the longer the stabilization time. Ignoring stabilization time can result in inconsistent results. 3️⃣ Incorrect environmental conditions: Temperature calibrations should be conducted under controlled environmental conditions to ensure accurate results. Factors such as humidity, air circulation, and radiant heat can affect measurements. It is important to monitor the ambient temperature and compensate for these factors as necessary.
