Last week the first phase of the North Sea Farm#1 project was successfully installed in wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid. Two state of the art Eco-anchors, 13m long piles with the top 2m covered with nature restoration substrate, were installed in a 2 day operation during a lucky spell of perfect weather. The second phase, seeding & deployment, will start mid October. We would especially like to thank our contractor Doggerland Offshore for the successful and smooth execution of this offshore operation. Last week, on August 6th, we acquired the piece of land for our upcoming office construction project. Located in Zwijndrecht, the land covers an impressive area of 10,000 square meters with around 195 meters of private quay wall. This advantageous location will ensure our preparedness for the future. After the summer break the construction shall commence, with an estimated completion date set for June/July 2025. Last week, our newest and smallest fleet member, Boo-Boo, conducted a visual inspection of the SolarDuck floating solar platform offshore from Scheveningen. Shoalbuster Barney towing a barge as part of the demobilization from our project in Whitstable for Van Oord to Hardinxveld. Assisted by the Gepke from Sleepdienst Gepke they towed the barge towards his destination. Barney will become available around 21st of July for approx. 4 weeks before her next project starts.
