Due to climate change, Ghana’s agricultural sector faces disruptions from changing rainfall patterns and increasing droughts, threatening the livelihoods of those who rely on traditional subsistence methods. The LANDSURF project, which the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) is part of, implements timely adaptation strategies informed by reliable local climate data and insights from smallholder farmers and fisherpeople to enhance rural communities’ resilience to climate change. #UNUinFocus

In response to the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Group of 20’s Common Framework, sought to provide a coordinated approach to sovereign debt treatments for the world’s poorest countries. Since its launch in November 2020, however, only four countries have sought debt treatment under the Common Framework and all have suffered delays. Here's how the sovereign debt architecture can be improved ahead of upcoming multilateral processes, such as the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in 2025: https://lnkd.in/ejGiZVV7

As more people access public services digitally, the quality and efficiency of local government portals are becoming increasingly important for enhancing citizen engagement and public service delivery. United Nations University - EGOV, in partnership with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), developed the Local Online Service Index (LOSI) to assess cities' digital capacity.
