📣 Exciting updates from the DREAMS project! Two weeks ago, we had the first consortium meeting of our project in Vienna, accompanied by a symposium the next day. 🗣️ The DREAMS Symposium was held on October 11, 2023, at TUtheSky, Vienna, and brought together transportation planners, practitioners, researchers, and innovative thinkers to discuss transformative strategies for the 15-Minute City concept in urban outskirts. 🌤️Reimagining the Outskirt – Strategies and Innovations for the 15-Minute City The event was hosted by Linda Dörrzapf and Yusak Susilo, and moderated by Roman Klementschitz. Presentations on 15-Minute City concepts and their relevance to urban outskirts were given by Maximilian Jäger, Lukas Lang and Can Yönter. Moreover, Anna Kajosaari and Michael Kloiber provided insights into the AccessCity4all project, while Karst Geurs shared findings from the DREAMS project. A Zoom-In session led by Linda Dörrzapf focused on the challenges and potentials of the Vienna DREAMS Living Lab Location, alongside information for a subsequent site visit presented by Simon Bohun from stadtland. The participants engaged in parallel workshops designed to explore tools and business models for the 15-Minute City. 👏 We thank all speakers and participants for their contributions to this successful event.
