PROUD TO DEFINE THE FUTURE OF FUGITIVE EMISSIONS TESTING! We are thrilled to announce acceptance of our Technical Brief by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and we look forward to see it published in the Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology. ASME Paper PVT-24-1046: "Reducing Helium Consumption in Valve Manufacturing: Alternative Test Fluid for Fugitive Emissions Production Testing" can be downloaded via: https://lnkd.in/gziCKP5h  Our paper is a pragmatic approach to prove the suitability of forming gas for Fugitive Emission testing of valves. Conclusions made in the paper were presented and accepted into different valve standards, with more to follow. Why it matters? Helium is a finite resource, yet we rely on it heavily as a test fluid to manage and reduce emissions from valves. This suggests an imbalance between supply and demand which can only worsen. After all, we experience an increased drive to reduce emissions, and, we foresee a massive growth in new technologies as the energy transition progresses. This leaves us at an important milestone; Can we sustain our way of working? Or should we re-evaluate our industry standards to prepare for the future?   At VENTIL, we believe that it is our responsibility to contribute to re-develop standards in order to be sustainable for the future.
