  • As a Certified B Corporation™, we believe there’s a better path to a better world—one of action and purpose, inspiration and community. This movement is powered by an emerging generation of people using business as a force for good. We call it #GenB. Being a B Corp is about continuous improvement and accountability, raising our own standards as B Lab raises theirs. It comes through in everything we do, from our productions to the partners we work with, in the stories we tell and the impact campaigns we create to mobilise our global community. Through Campus, we've also teamed up with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to help more businesses engage their employees through the first learning platform that brings together circularity and impact training with storytelling, entertainment and social media technology. This #BCorpMonth, we’re celebrating our work alongside thousands of other B Corps around the world we’re proud to say we’ve been collaborating throughout the years like Finisterre, Patagonia, Fairphone, Ecologi | B Corp™, Earthrise EnergyMUD Jeans, Natura, among so many others. • The world’s largest iceberg, A23a, has grounded in the South Atlantic just off South Georgia. Once a cause for concern, scientists are now exploring whether it could help the region’s ecosystem by stirring up nutrients. Potentially good news for the island’s penguins. • Our VP of Marketing and Editorial Maria Correa was invited to the LatAm Content Meeting to participate in a session sharing her experience evaluating potential projects and developing strategies to better promote content. The LatAm Content Meeting in partnership with Sunny Side of the Doc brought together +600 filmmakers, producers, distributors, and key executives from 20 countries at the iconic Copacabana Beach. Part marketplace, part industry thought leadership, part networking event, some of the key topics discussed throughout the event included: + Latin America is ripe with talent, passion and commitment to drive impact, incredible stories that need to be told across the world, and amazing groups that are looking to collaborate across borders. + While the urgency of the stories being told has never been greater, the key question that kept coming up after pitches is "what can I do?" "what impact do you hope this can make?", "how do I hold onto hope?" + The importance of baking in impact campaigns and distribution strategies into the initial concept of bringing stories to life beyond the films themselves rather than an afterthought in post-production. + The role of entertainment – in the narrative plot, the medium, the protagonists – and the appetite to work with creators, activists, athletes, scientists who have existing audiences is key to helping stories break through. + Given the scale of the issues we're facing today, it's not one film and impact campaign that will change behaviour and perceptions but the cumulative ripple effect of many stories and communities across coming together to change things. Thank you so much for having us!

  • 🚨 A major win for climate justice 💪 🌍 The US Supreme Court has rejected Republican attempts to block lawsuits filed against oil and gas companies. The suits accuse these companies of misleading the public about the dangers of fossil fuels. If successful, they could lead to billions in damages for climate-related disasters like wildfires, storms, and rising sea levels. #ClimateAction #SupremeCourt #EnvironmentalJustice #FossilFuels #ClimateChange

  • 👀 Mary Robinson has joined the call... Who had to be on a Zoom call today where Ireland's first female president and feminist trailblazer shared her experiences and gave you advice on how to combat today's environmental struggles? 🙋♀️ Along with Pat Mitchell they introduced us to the story behind founding Project Dandelion and how when a woman leads, action follows. Give them a follow and understand more about their women-led global campaign for climate justice. Here are some quotes that stuck with us: 'We have to move people from the heart' 'Equity and Inclusion. Lets use those words and their meaning rather than the acronym. Acronyms were so easy to attack' 'We have to help them (politicians) by strongly advocating for a much better, safer, more equal, fairer, healthier world. I mean, let's talk about it more!' What a privilege! We still can't believe it happened.

  • The North Sea collision could spill into an environmental disaster. The crash between the US-flagged Stena Immaculate, and Portuguese-flagged Solong has caused a jet fuel spill, with potential for widespread environmental harm. While jet fuel is immediately toxic to wildlife, it could also move up the food chain, impacting fish, birds, and even humans. This incident highlights the urgent need for stronger safety measures to prevent further environmental and health risks. • From blacksmithing to basketry, heritage crafts are in danger of being lost forever. The Red List of Endangered Crafts, published by Heritage Crafts, calls on us to protect these invaluable skills, as fast fashion threatens to erase centuries of tradition. Support artisans, shop handmade, learn a craft, and help keep these skills alive. Watch these films, for free, about traditional crafts here: https://brnw.ch/21wRdDn
