The platform for polymer and rubber R&D

Over ons

Xplore Instruments B.V. manufactures small high torque compounders and mini post die processing equipment, who can compound very small amounts of polymeric and/or rubber material. From 40 ml, 15ml down to just 5ml, that can be efficiently compounded, injection molded to produce a tensile test bar, spun to a (multi filament) fiber or casted into film or tape samples, in just a matter of minutes. Enabling scientists to analyze dozens of different polymer or rubber formulations per day, hence generating much more scientific data in a shorter time frame. Our high-quality instruments are utilized for screening, feasibility studies, formulation development or to quickly solve technical marketing issues.

Three-in-one … Vari-batch® Technology One of the unique features of Xplore Instruments B.V.’s microcompounding technology is the “recirculation” in the batch mode. Recirculation provides the melt continuously sheared by the rotating screws during the microcompounding process that ensures proper mixing. Versatile Barrel Volumes Our compounders come with standard barrel volumes of 5 mL, 15 mL, or 40 mL, providing the perfect fit for various lab-scale compounding needs. But we didn’t stop there—introducing Xplore’s patented vari-batch® technology! Unmatched Flexibility with Vari-batch® Thanks to our vari-batch® technology, standard barrels can be effortlessly converted into mini-mixing chambers using specialized inserts. This allows you to perform intense mixing processes with smaller material quantities, ensuring efficient research. Tailor Your Compounding with MC15HT With two insert positions on the recirculation channel, the 15-mL barrel can be transformed into a 3 mL, 7 mL, or 15 mL compounder. This flexibility allows for a wide range of experiments using emerging material combinations, providing the adaptability you need in today’s fast-paced research environments.
