Starting as an intern back in 2012 when our team was much smaller, Nick brought a fresh perspective from his ICT studies at HZ University of Applied Sciences, diving deep into software development and laying a strong foundation from the start. Fast forward to today, Nick serves as a dedicated Team Lead, steering our software efforts with a passion for problem-solving and collaboration. His journey from Software Engineer to Team Lead showcases not only his technical expertise but also his leadership skills and commitment to excellence. What makes Nick’s role truly fulfilling? 🌟 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲! 🌟 Meet Jan-Willem, our dedicated Purchaser at YourSurprise! Jan-Willem started at YourSurprise 12.5 years ago, initially helping out for a week during the busy period leading up to Father’s Day. He enjoyed it so much that he continued working in the Production team for another 3.5 years. When a position became available in the Purchase team, he was able to join for a few days. Now, 9 years later, Jan-Willem is still thriving in his role. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗛𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: In his role on the Purchase team, Jan-Willem focuses on the operational side of things. He still finds his work amazing and takes great satisfaction in what he does. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹: The fun team atmosphere and the variety of tasks make his job genuinely enjoyable and challenging—there's never a dull day! 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗷𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗯: Thijs loves finding solutions to challenges that have a direct impact on our customers. Knowing that his work is seen by so many gives him great satisfaction.
