Corporate Accountant

Our international client, one of the world's foremost managing consulting firms, is now hiring a Corporate Accountant to join their team in Amsterdam.

In the role, you be responsible for the review of applicable accounting data on leases, and review of both the classification and accounting transactions in a lease management system (FinQuery) based on IFRS 16. Additionally, you will also be responsible for carrying out specific monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes like general accounting, financial reporting, and payroll review/processing.

Job Profile for Corporate Accountant

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Assist in month-end closing of general ledger, focusing on leases and fixed asset accounting, including preparation and posting of appropriate journal entries
• Responsible with the key control of capturing all new leases or lease updates on a timely basis and prepare lease footnotes schedules
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations as needed
• Produce accurate monthly and quarterly reports for the Firm
• Analyse and review financial and business information effectively to extract useful usiness insights
• Assist external auditors with information requests
• Participate in miscellaneous finance related projects as needed
• Maintain and improve current procedures

Candidate Profile for Corporate Accountant

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting is mandatory
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a multi-national environment
• Knowledge of IFRS is required
• Experience using Workday, FinQuery (previously LeaseQuery) is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with positive solutions-oriented mindset
• Able to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
• Hands-on mentality
