Lead UX Designer (App)

About The Role

As the Lead UX Designer, you will be at the helm in crafting the approach in many new areas with a a blank canvas to play with. You're responsible for designing and improving the user experience of our new digital experiences and apps. In this role you will spearhead the UX strategy and design efforts across key verticals within the business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless and engaging user experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

The Impact You'll Make

You'll be working with:

• Internal: Apps Teams; Business; Executives; New Product Innovation Team, Data Teams in Data & Analytics; IT Data team, and to gather data sources, Finance Team; Marketing.
• External: Contracted App Development teams, third parties managing data, agencies
  
  

You Will

• Define and drive the UX strategy. It will be yours to own. Lead the UX design process from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Deep dive in to user insights. user research to understand the needs and behaviors of our consumers including user interviews, surveys and useability testing to gain insights and inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes and design mockups to effcitively communicate design solutions and concepts. These will include email templates, journeys, app experiences, wireframes, low and high-fidelity designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet business objectives
• Conduct usability testing to validate design solutions and iterate based on feedback
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design. Establish a UX design legacy through visionary standards and guidelines that set the bar for excellence
  
  

The Skills & Knowledge You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a UX designer, with a strong portfolio of work in a consumer industry
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
• Knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices
• User interaction (UI) skills are a plus
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD a must
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices
