My client provides equipment and services (24/7) to the maritime and offshore industry. They offer Offshore (crawler) cranes, Dynamic Positioning (DP2) vessels, offshore heavy equipment, heavy lift crane capacity up to 1400 ton, and has a yard in Amsterdam (ISPS) CONQUEST MB1 Operates a 1400-ton crane barge internationally and specialises in construction and installation work (offshore, near shore, and inland), salvage and decommissioning. There are lay-by facilities for (marine, sea-going and jack up) vessels and 800 m of available quays, with a deep-sea quay of up to 500 m length, 60 m breadth and 15 m draft and a large open yard area of more than 100,000 sqm and warehouse space of 30,000 sqm.
Job Title:
Well Test Steam Generator Operator
Description: Operate diesel fired steam generator during well test operations. The steam generator supplies steam to customer heat exchanger to heat oil/gas during flow period. It involves setting up, testing, operating and rigging down of the steam generator.
Job Objectives:
Ensure DOS steam generator and auxiliary equipment are installed, operated and maintained at customers well site at the highest quality level.
Ensure that steam generator/heat exchanger interface is properly installed and working according to authorities’ and clients’ requirements.
Ensure that auxiliary equipment such as /steam, air, water and diesel piping/steam manifolds/fuel tank are properly installed/commissioned and operating.
Responsibilities:
Familiarise with technical programme.
Inspect/record equipment prior to installation.
Confirm with Company Rep/Well Test Supervisor as to job to be performed.
Report any equipment/procedural non-conformance to W/T Supervisor.
Know who will control part of the operation and be co-operative.
Ensure equipment is installed and maintained at customers’ well site at the highest quality possible within the limitations of the written instructions.
Ensure for proper operation of DOS equipment and preparation for return shipment.
Skills Requirements:
Good English language skills
Mechanical/electrical/pneumatic aptitude
Excellent knowledge of DOS equipment
Broad knowledge of Clients’ interfacing equipment such as heat exchanger/separator
Education / Experience:
Mechanical or Marine Engineering background
several years oil field and/or merchant/royal navy experience
Good knowledge of DOS Technical Documentation
Driving licence
Medical examination, various safety courses
