🔋 A step forward in the energy transition – The Port of IJmuiden has received the first hydrogen bunkering licence in the Netherlands. 💡 How has this come around? The licence, issued by the IJmond Environmental Service for Velsen, is the exciting outcome of Windcat Workboats' groundbreaking research with the Ports of IJmuiden and Amsterdam. This crucial work paves the way for safe, efficient hydrogen bunkering at the port. ⚡ The licence now allows hydrogen-powered vessels like the Hydrocat 48 to refuel at IJmuiden before heading to North Sea operations – Windcat Workboats aims to launch more hydrogen-powered ships, supporting North Holland's goal of climate neutrality by 2050. 🌍 This licence boosts hydrogen-powered vessels for North Sea wind farms, paving the way for future projects as IJmuiden and Amsterdam lead in advancing sustainable solutions. 🔗 Read more about this huge step for hydrogen here: https://lnkd.in/eVjduYEr #HydrogenPower #CleanEnergy #GreenHydrogen #H2Revolution
