𝗔 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱! At the turn of the year we constructed new walls for the segregation of different materials. These walls are made from recycled plastic building blocks. The innovative and circular feature of these blocks lies in the recycled PVC, partly from cable waste collected by us, used in their production. The so-called GRC blocks are produced and supplied by the Dutch based Green Recycling Company BV. In our opinion, a productive and circular start to 2025!💛♻️

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming 50 students from the Hoornbeeck College Rotterdam , along with their teachers. The students are studying Commerce. After a presentation and tour of our yard, the classes went to National Park De Biesbosch to collect waste from nature. This week is also World Cleanup Day, it's great that they are contributing in this way. It was a successful visit. Thanks to all the students and teachers for their enthusiasm #Hoornbeeck #WorldCleanupDay2024 #JansenRecyclingGroup

𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆! Last Friday, we celebrated a significant milestone within Jansen Recycling Group. Our esteemed colleague, Gadek El Moussati, has been with us for an impressive 40 years. Following in the footsteps of his father Kaddour, Gadek is the second generation of the El Moussati family to work with us. We are also proud that the third generation, Nour Eddine El Moussati, has been with us for a long time as well. Gadek began his career at Jansen in 1984. Founder Kees Jansen asked Gadek to join the then Zethameta to teach his three sons, Klaas Jansen, Arie Kees Jansen, and Harm Jansen, the trade. At that time, Gadek was working at Heuvelman Staal, Kees Jansen's old company. Gadek’s knowledge and experience have been invaluable to the growth and development of Jansen Recycling Group. Congratulations Gadek, thank you for your years of dedication and commitment! Management Jansen Recycling Group #anniversary #jansenrecyclinggroup #elmoussati

Last week, approximately 2,000 tons rolls of strip steel (coils) has been unloaded at the scrap yard of Jansen Recycling Group. Those coils were the cargo of coaster Verity, which sank on October 24, 2023 after a collision with another ship in the ‘Duitse Bocht’. KOOLE Contractors is responsible for the salvage of the wreck and the ships cargo, approximately 3,200 tons of steel coils. Koole Contractors delivers the coils by an inland vessel to our scrap yard. #JansenRecyclingGroup #Verity

Recently we spent a fantastic weekend with the entire Jansen family in picturesque Brabant, in celebration of our beloved Ma Jansen’s 87th birthday. It was a weekend full of memories, laughter and, above all lots of love. As a family business, we are proud of our strong family ties and the shared values that we promote. These special moments remind us how important it is to get together and enjoy each other's company.

At the end of June we started using two new electric forklift trucks at our yard in Dordrecht. For some time now we have been weighing up the options for more sustainable site forklifts to complement the electric forklift trucks already in use by the Technical Department. The Linde X50-600 forklifts, complete with Cascade tilt clamp, were delivered by Motrac NL. This latest model from Linde combines the power of an fuelled truck with the sustainability of an electric forklift. They can run for up to one-and-a-half days on a full battery, which makes them more than adequate for use. Step by step we are working to reduce our CO₂ emissions, in line with our vision of 'working on a world as it was meant to be'.
